A forum for all things Cardiff City

This has been mentioned on another thread, but decided to start a poll about it.
Trent Alexander-Arnold recently announced he's leaving Liverpool in the summer. He's expected to join Real Madrid.
When he came off the bench today, he was loudly booed by their fans - this continued to happen every time he touched the ball.
Do you think it's ever acceptable for fans to boo one of their own players as an individual?
I remember when Tan booed off our whole team when we drew with Sunderland in the Premier League.
But I would never boo an individual player of our's, regardless of the circumstances.

In Trent’s circumstance, no, never.
But in terms of the question, yes, absolutely.
For example, Dimi Konstantopolous when we had him on loan from the jacks and he cost us points.
Richard Langley ripped us to pieces as a QPR player. Came to us and looked like he couldn’t be bothered playing football and would rather try to freestyle unsuccessfully whilst a game was happening.

Probably not, Ned; but I guess there are times it might happen and we certainly have our own boo-boys who single out players at any given time
Alexander Trent-Arnold does not deserve the boo-boys from his own supporters but that's Liverpool 'fans' for you; entitled and never wrong
I recall Steven Gerrard being close to leaving a few years ago but he changed his mind late on after death threats and personal attacks on him and his family
In the case of both players, the Scousers should ask "What did they ever do for us?" and maybe (just maybe) they might see things in a different light!

We have given Ledley stick for leaving.
We aren’t angels either.

Didn't say we were, that's why I'm asking the question.

No. I might be fuming, upset or angry but I would NEVER boo a City player.

I remember as a fan base having a go at the players as a collective at the end of a game. Plymouth away season before last and Derby away this season. They deserved it too IMO.

Dimi was on loan from Coventry (he’d gone on loan to the jacks before us) but agree he was shocking

Is it a beheading in Oxford to boo anything, including seagulls?

Depends on the circumstances for me.
I'm not too bothered if people boo. There's an easy way to not get boo'd and that's play well, try hard and have morals; rarely does someone like that get boo'd.
Regards the Trent, I appreciate both ends. A saw a clip of a really good call from a Liverpool fan saying that it impacts the team. He also said it was 70:30 with those booing, and said that was strange for Anfield; so he's clearly pissed them off.

No if they are annoyed in Oxford they mildly clap rather than clap.

If someone like Joe Allen joined Cardiff then it's right to boo him out of our club.
ANYONE from Swansea

ANYONE from Swansea
Ridiculous comment.
What about the likes of Jason Bowen or Andy Legg?
I think you'll also find that a lot of City fans respect Joe Allen, and rightly so.

Andy Legg is one of my favourite city players ever.
He came from the jacks.
Silly comment.
