Robinson demands proof after accusation

Cardiff striker Callum Robinson has demanded proof that he was at another game last weekend after reports he chose to watch his former club Aston Villa over his current club.

Robinson was crowned the club's player of the season despite having an injury-hit campaign. The Republic of Ireland international was City's top scorer with 12 goals.

Callum Robinson:

"I’d love to see the proof of this because on Saturday I was at no football match. Don’t believe all you read."

He said in another post relating to the report: "I was at no game on Saturday? What is this nonsense going round."

Interesting. Wasn't there someone on here who accused him of being at the Villa game or was that someone else with another player & game?

I have no idea why they even contemplate reading social media.

Cole Palmer was so unaffected by it, he gave a 3-minute rant about how unbothered he was about the comments :?

I am a lifelong fan and went for a walk rather than watch them, so i don't blame him for not going.

CR understands football culture/optics, so unless he is doing a Yak and setting up his next contract (Aston Villa   ) its obvious bollox.

BBC Sports
This post has been updated to correct an error in the original version, in which Callum Robinson was said to have been at Aston Villa's game on Saturday. Robinson has clarified that he did not attend any game that day.

There's enough going wrong at the club that we know about, no need for media/fans to make stuff up.

I'm not Robinson's biggest fan because of his attitude and work rate, but this isn't helpful to anyone.

It was Meite that was questioned not Robinson.

Media make up stories every day, look at the people we have supposedly been ‘linked’ with.

Robinson can go anyway. Lazy.
