Ramsey Manager - Continued :

(1) To start with when you were installed as a temporary manager you had nothing to lose and all to gain . Nobody expected you to do anything . To everyone ….anyone was better than Riza ….and after all you had a good career and also you were one of us from the core ….since your childhood . So in the eyes of all the fans …..whatever you do is fine …..you only had 3 games .

(2) It is very important to say that you knew about all the players and what they can do , how good they are , how much fight they have in them . You knew them better even than Riza did …..you played with them and trained with them ….. you knew each very well . You knew everyone’s strengths and weaknesses .

(3) You picked the team and chose the subs and naturally the game plan and tactics .

The fact is that we were more attack minded ….but also we were more vulnerable at the back . In all our games we had more chances to score …..but equally there were more chances against . You can not really say that we were better than Norwich , WBA or Oxford .

(4) You - who knew the team very well - got 2 points in 3 games . This translates to just over 30 points over a 46 game season . A very poor tally by any standard . Even Riza or Bulut (all his tenure) ….or anyone has done better .

(4) What the Club needs now is a hard core basic manager who is very hungry and desperate for the job and with a good record . You are a multi millionaire ….who as a player had massive ability and had exposure to top world class level management exposure …..but this is not what we need now . We need an ABC manager .

(5) Anyone who will be our next manager - including you - will most likely look good . This is because with the team we already have plus the few additions this summer ….we will almost definately be in a playoff position and probably automatic promotion .

We will almost certainly be up there ….because we have much more than the nucleus of players . This is also more so because we will be releasing or selling many players . This will save a lot of money ….while at the same time … the money we get from the sale of players will come in very handy .

What I am saying is that we are well positioned to do well anyway …..in all likelihood . A manager can make it better or worse . It is not going to take the best manager to make us do well . Any ok manager should probably do fine .

What I am saying is that you’ve had it easy peasy in every way . You are not ready yet . You need to finish your playing career , then toughen up , roll up your sleeves and get involved deeper and get experience …..and have the hunger to work and fight .

It is at that point ……that I would fight and welcome you back as manager .

You are a Club hero ….but manager now ?

I do not wish it for you or the Club what ever happens as well eventually it turns sour.

I'm torn on him becoming manager full time. If we are looking to bounce back instantly and Tan is going to back the new manager I think an experienced manager would be better.

If Tan isn't going to back the new manager and it becomes more of a long term project then I wouldn't mind Ramsey being given a chance.

I can't comment on Norwich as I was working and didn't see it, but we were 100% the better team against Oxford and while the WBA game was more even I believe we deserved the win there too.

There's a lot of merit in what's been said but point 4a points won is nonsense! you cannot possibly say because got 2 points out of six that will equate to just 30points over season that would make us worst team in history of championship.... but agree got to start season with some sort of seasoned manager

If there was ever a time to give him a chance it’s now surely?

He’s either going to do well in league 1, get some much needed experience and kick start his career, or fall short and show he’s not quite at the level needed.

There are options out there but would they come to Cardiff with our reputation? Will they care like we know Rambo does? I think if he could convince some good experienced coaches to come in to support him, and an experienced assistant, he would be ideal for the position.

This all depends on the hierarchy’s decisions though, and to what state this squad is left in once the transfer window opens
