Ramsey : “ Cardiff City’s Future “

Aaron Ramsey:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=244580

“I am a Cardiff fan and know what they have been going through and the questions they have been asking,” he said.

“I am open to help realign things here. I have loved every minute of it, and in the three games I think we have given the supporters something to buy into.

“It’s given me something to think about, that’s for sure.

“There will be a few meetings going forward, and at some stage there obviously needs to be some clarity. We’ll just have to see what happens.”

U21 defender Ronan Kpakio earned his first league start for City, while there were also league debuts for Dylan Lawlor and Tanatswa Nyakuhwa.

“The Academy has so many talented players and it’s about creating that pathway again. For them to come on today, I thought every one of them were superb. “

"Some of them looked like they had been there doing it for ages, so it’s a very proud day for them and it’s just a glimpse of the players we have in store and available next season.”

“Any new manager will be impressed with the amount of talented youngsters we have for next season.”

Is this him hinting he may want the job next season?

I hope he is not our manager next season, hope the club learn by their mistakes and get in an experienced manager.

I 100% agree with you

People say about being inexperienced just take a look around football some fail some succeed same goes for experienced ones.. its about having things in place to get best out manager and players ? We or should say tan has not got clue about picking manager his attempts were never going to work as they were failures or average players before got chosen .... rambo is neither but don't expect him to be next! manager...

I’d actually be happy with Rambo for the following reasons

1. He already loves the club and wants it to do well
2. He’s sensible enough to recognise his inexperience and to want competent coaches
3. He’s sees what needs to happen behind the scenes
4. He already knows the players. He knows the academy lads. He knows what he would want to keep and lose. He knows who’s likely to leave anyway
5. He’s already here. We don’t have weeks and weeks of indecision which I believe cost us massively last summer.

I 100% agree with you

I would like to know why both of you think that the Ramsay team of the last three games is not suitable to be the next managerial team for Cardiff City, and who you would prefer instead of them.

Speaks well, loves the club, but 0.66 points per game over a season = 31 points.

Now, to be fair, the squad is full of quitters, and god knows what has gone on in the background, so that is a poor indicator.

Shame Osian Roberts lives in one of the most beautiful areas in the world and is doing well otherwise, him as general manager and Rambo as Head coach would be out of this world and a statement of intent.

Can't have any more rookies without someone who knows what they are doing overseeing the whole operation. We have recruited too many of what Malky would call the "wrong sorts" and Pep would struggle getting a tune out of this lot.

A good bouncer never lets trouble in so rarely have to scrap.

If Rambo wants to play it will be here, I reckon he'll take the pay cut. If he wants to be the head coach, we need an experianced guy in his team as well as Gunter

I still say we have definitely improved since Ramsey took charge. Albeit that's not saying much given how poor we were before.

I was never going to judge today's performance, even more so after the red card.

Last game of the season between two clubs who have nothing to play for always throws up high scoring matches.

Would I be pleased with Ramsey as manager next season? Well I wouldn't be against us but my preference is still for a manager with recent League One experience.

But if they decide to go for another untested manager, I think Ramsey is the person to go for.

2 points out of 9 by any standard is not good enough, Ramsey is not the answer.

That's on three games with a team destined to go down.

By the same reasoning, you can say Arsenal losing two and drawing one of their last three means that Arteta isn't good enough.

He has less experience than Riza (how did that work out??) We need to invest in a quality manager/back up staff or we'll stuggle next season.

No I agree with that, always said my preference is a manager with League One experience - like Des Buckingham.

Just pointing out it's harsh to read too much into these three results.

Better to look at way we played? Other than the 65/35% possession stat we were more than a match for them in everything we did attacking wise.... that's something cant say about rizas tactics... also he changed things before halftime to counteract going to ten men ? Riza wouldn't have done this...he may be a novice as a coach but he knows what he's doing and that is a good trait to have..

Des Buckingham would be a great choice, problem we have is that the lunatic Tan will decide and let's be honest he'll have never heard of him.

I be shocked if any manager would want to come here while tan is still at the helm?

Love Ramsey, love everything he says, but the club need an experienced EFL manager now.

Every single coach we've given work experience to has been a disaster.

Paul Trollope
Steve Morison
Mark Hudson
Omer Riza

Please don't ruin Ramsey's legacy.

He has to leave the club, the only way he should stay would be an advisory role.
