Yousef Salech

Sat May 03, 2025 1:31 pm

A shining light in a season of turmoil.

It will be a very sad day when he leaves us.

Can't see any way we can keep him in League One.

But we should demand big money.

Re: Yousef Salech

Sat May 03, 2025 1:38 pm

If we could keep hold of him it would be a massive sign of intent for next season, he way to good for league one he's strong can hold the ball up well, run with it, finish well, he's going isn't he :(

Re: Yousef Salech

Capology reckons he is on around £7500 with CR on around £30k

If it were me, and CR is leaving, I would look to double Salech salary to £15k per week.

For City
If we keep Salech - I think we will get promoted because he will score loads

For Salech
When he does score loads, he will get offers from the EPL, and there many who have gone from Div1 to the EPL.

If City want to get promotion keeping Salech is a must. Selling him will make around £4-5m. Keeping him will generate so much more.

Got a relegation clause
That allows him to leave us

And you know that how?

Re: Yousef Salech

If we keep him, we stand a chance of bouncing straight back up. Looks an outstanding signing now and would tear league one apart. if we sell it has to be for absolute silly money. I am quietly confident he stays as he's only been here six months and I think he's bought into the City and the club.

Hope he stays the commentator said on sky we should build a team around him.

It wouldn't show any sort of intent either way. If he wants to go & someone offers enough we couldn't & shouldn't stop him and if you can't figure out why then you have a very short memory.

it's just our luck really,

we finally get the striker we have needed for the last 4-5 years, then half a season later we may be forced to sell him

I disagree I believe keeping hold of our best asset and building a team around him will show how serious we are about bouncing back up, and I think salech seems to have a much better attitude than other players who have wanted a move then downed tools when they didn't get what they wanted but this is just my opinion and respect others will feel different

Of course we should try to keep him & even build a team around him but not at all costs and that includes if he wants to leave & the price is right.

For sure if the price is right then we will have to reluctantly let him go I just hope if it does happen it's for a decent price as personally a striker with his attributes is worth 12 million plus and would want the money to go back into strengthening the squad

Capology has some crazy wages for us and for Oxford which I think are way off.

Be interested to know the real numbers.

What's a decent price? £5m? Not worth selling for less than 10m with a sell on clause because he's goingvto premier league one day...but selling him will be big dent in chances of going straight back up Got to prefer him to stay as false economy to sell no matter yhe price.

How much did we pay for him?

Re: Yousef Salech

Sat May 03, 2025 5:22 pm

I think we'll sit down, offer him an improved deal, and say if we get a £20 million bid, you can go, as that's Premier League money.

I believe he cost 4 million Euros so anything less than £10 million barely writes off how bad Daland has been.

I said I think 12 mill minimum for us to even think about it I doubt clubs would go much higher than that due to the fact he's only played in the UK for a few months

I however hope we don't sell him for any amount of money

The clause may say something like he goes for £5m if we go down.

If the board had any sense they would build the team around him.

Give him a new contract to stay, which will boost season ticket sales.

Far too sensible an idea mate.

He's already on a 4.5 year deal. Even if he has a relegation clause he is going to be a very costly acquisition for a Championship club. He's certainly not ready for the Premier league yet. It's probably only the parachute payment club's who can afford him really and has he done enough yet to tempt a Southampton, Leicester or Ipswich? I am not sure. I note QPR fans on Twitter saying they should go after him. If that's the sort of Club who come in for him, I think he'll stay.If Tan is seriously wanting to change he has to keep Salech too

Why would there be a relegation clause for a 4yr contract.? Was they expecting relegation!

He (his agent) may have asked for it, not the club.

I bet he ends up leaving for what we paid for him

Re: Yousef Salech

Relegation clause doesn’t mean he walks.

It means he can if certain conditions are met.

He may not want to leave for all we know.
