How Bad Really Vincent Tan is in Football:

Fri May 02, 2025 10:42 am

THE LOCAL MEDIA GLEN WILLIAMS TURNED A BLIND EYE & THE SUPPORTERS ORGANISATIONS DID NOTHING AT ALL:

FK Sarajevo Owner, 14/15 (Dec 24, 2014) / - ; Los Angeles FC · Both Clubs failed badly:

Sarajevo Fans turned on Tan and eventually he left.

Tans 3rd Club are virtually relegated this season, years of struggling and now it happing next week:

Cardiff City after years of court cases, a Rebrand of the Colour and badge , years of struggle and now relegated to League 1.

Two major demonstrations have been held this season by the fans, but none by the official Supporter outlets??

But just what has gone wrong over in Belgium with Vincent Tans Club?

How similar is it to the anger fans back in the Welsh capital? And just what happens once relegation is confirmed? Join the Cardiff City breaking news and top stories WhatsApp community.

Belgian journalist Jorunn Vannoorden, who covers KVK for Nieuwsblad.be, about the disaster unfolding on the continent and how it got to this stage...

Q. It’s been another shambolic season for Kortrijk with more managers being sacked, what’s gone wrong?

JV: In general, the Belgian league is one where trainers are fired relatively quickly. But at Kortrijk that has increased a lot in recent years. They threw out Freyr Alexandersson (who performed a miracle last year) at an odd time to go with Yves Vanderhaeghe, someone who had been sacked twice in the past at KVK. He had been without a club for a year at that point and picked up just two wins in 24 games. A total miscast, then. His current successor Bernd Storck is doing much better, but has only been there since the end of February and was given far too little time.

Q. How do KVK fans feel towards Vincent Tan? They have been battling relegation for a number of years now...

JV: Kortrijk fans have been crying out for a new owner for some time. They would prefer a local entrepreneur who is in touch with the club, because that is what they lack with Tan and also hold that against him.

Q. Cardiff fans feel angry because they think Tan isn’t involved enough in the community and doesn’t engage with fans. What is he like with Kortrijk fans?

JV: The supporters at Kortrijk also have that feeling. They may not remember the last time they saw Tan himself. He hardly makes any noise. If there is ever anything to hear/see, it is through his right-hand man Ken Choo, although even that is quite

Q. KVK have a sporting director, which is something Cardiff fans have wanted for years. How has that worked, what are the positives and negatives?

JV: A sporting director is certainly a useful role within the club, as evidenced by several clubs in Belgium that grew robustly in recent years, thanks in part to a strong sporting director. At Kortrijk, too, he did a good job at times, although there were also some miscasts and communication could sometimes be a bit better.

Q. Do you think Tan will try to sell again if relegation is confirmed?

JV: That's a tough one. A few years ago he wanted to sell Kortrijk for a multiple of the amount for which he bought the club himself, but now KVK may barely be worth anything in the event of relegation. So the question is whether he would settle for that, although it would be the ideal time for a farewell and a fresh start for both parties. Sign up to our daily

I’m all for getting a season ticket ,then I see things like this photos of those pricks ruining another club and ignoring there fans, and I question myself again don’t give them anymore of your money it was fking awful on our 125th , do I want to be bored silly again wanting to go home at half time again next season. They really need to try and sell up I’m sick of the sight of them all.

I think some fans would appreciate
Leaving season tickets to the last min as the board ars using as a gauge to see how many are not bothered I don't want to stop anyone getting a discount on a season ticket but it's all about sending a message.
