Norwich City v Cardiff City:

Saturday 12:30pm

Aaron Ramsey:

“It’s not been the season we imagined and it’s going to take some time to get over that,” Aaron began. “But what I can say is that the way the players have trained this week has been superb. Their attitude and commitment has been second to none.

“I’ve been really pleased with the performances of the players. I’m very disappointed with what’s gone on overall, but from the players and what we’ve managed to get out of them, I think it’s been evident to see.

Aaron Ramsey:

“From the fans’ perspective as well, they’ve bought into that and have been right behind the team. With the amount the fans that have come to watch and have stayed with us throughout those games, that’s been brilliant.

“A special mention goes out to them who are travelling up in numbers again, fans waking up at 4am; something must have been right in the last few games for them to support us again in this difficult time.

“Like I said before, the only way we’re going to get out of this is together, and full credit to the fans who are making the journey there.”

Our opponents on Saturday will be managed by Jack Wilshere, a former teammate of Aaron's at Arsenal.

Aaron Ramsey:

“I’ve been watching Jack’s career in his managerial roles, developing over the years with the U18s to going across there and having the opportunity. It will be a bit mad, but I’m looking forward to seeing him again.

“I think football has come on since our time at Arsenal. What Arsène [Wenger] installed into us is having that freedom to go and express ourselves.

“We had that confidence from him to go out and do that, which is something I’ll take forward throughout my coaching career - giving players the confidence to go out and express themselves.

“It’s why we all fell in love with football. Why we all started playing football is to go out there and enjoy it. For me, that’ll be something that I take forward."

The Canaries head into the final day sitting 14th in the table, having recorded a goalless draw at Middlesbrough last time out.

Aaron Ramsey:

“I don’t know the ins and outs there, but what I do know is that they have a quality team with really good individuals," Aaron added. "The stats back that up as well. It’s going to be a good test for us, but one that I’m really looking forward to.

“With all honesty, I haven’t really had a lot of time to digest the last week. I’m fully focused on this game, then we’ll have time to reflect.

“We need everyone to get behind this Club now and for us all to pull in the same direction. For me, I’ve definitely seen that happen, the fans getting right behind the team.

“For them to stay there for the whole game and the amount of fans we had, it speaks volumes. We’re going to have to get out of this together, and we need them.”

Aaron Ramsey:

“Now is not the right time for me to become a manager.”

“I want to continue my playing career and continue playing for Wales.”

"Whoever is in charge next season , the team they bring in around them, and the trust that manager has in the the team he brings in, is massive. Massive. Everyone has got to buy into that.

"Then you can look to add layers to that. It's making sure you get the manager and give him the trust to bring in the right people around him.

"It's important someone is brought in with the right staff around them. You can go from there then. But you need clarity, fans need clarity, players need clarity and you can build from there.”
