They know quality when they see it. Big part of next seasons plans I would think.

Did he play much for Exeter ?

That's probably his level. Struggled at Exeter.

Exeter were not too impressed when you see their fans forum.
Stevenage fans however much more positive about Eli King.

Looking on the bright side, it now looks like a good decision to send him out to learn his trade in the lower League we will playing in next season
In all seriousness, he needs to step up for us next season or he’ll join his brother in the ‘almost but not quite there’ group

Most of these lads are going to get game time next season - unless we can't move on the players who played this season .

He can’t do any worse than our current lot mate. This is the season we need to give our youngsters a proper run out

Agree, I said this in January. Had to start all over again with a new club when he went to Exeter.
I hope he has a good pre-season and be involved with our first team.
Has the potential to be a great player, will definitely be better than his brother and he works harder than him too.

I agree he should of stayed at Cheltenham he was on fire there and the fans loved him
However I can see why the club wanted to test him at league 1 level and although he didn't have the same impact at Exeter there were games when he played really well and looked a solid league 1 midfielder he did however struggle for consistency but who doesn't at that age,
If he was consistently turning in motm performances he wouldn't be on loan at league 1 level
Patience is required but I personally think he will be a top player in a couple of years

Colwill, Ashford, Kipre and Lawler I would imagine all play regularly in the first team next season
I’ve watched a lot of the development team last few years and they have all got something about them
There are 2/3 others who could force their way into contention next season
The youngsters are about the only good news around the club at the moment..I really hope they keep progressing because we are definitely going to need them
For what it’s worth I think Lawler is the most promising

Guaranteed starter for us next season for me. I'm more excited by him than Rubin.

If he is a guaranteed starter next season we truly are finished. Too many of our youngsters have been over hyped. Over time he may come good but I want some experience in that midfield next year.

Kipre ?

Eli King on form is the better player at the moment.
We ruined Rubin by not sending him out, always casting him as the new saviour, and putting daft amounts of pressure on him. It's too late now; he has the man up, but these two spells will be good for Joel.
