Bournemouth got man sent of after he slipped and caught man u player wasnt hard or dangerous tackle he simply slipped! Var did not once mention to ref that player slipped when going in for tackle! Ref went to monitor and changed yellow to red he also didn't take any notice of fact player slipped that's why he caught him on ankle absolute shocking decision making by officials again.

Could it have anything to do with who Bournemouth were playing ?

Just seen it, awful decision.
The ex-Arsenal striker Alan Smith was on co-commentary (probably one of the best TV pundits there are) and the first thing he said was that it was a yellow because Evanilson obviously slipped.
He also said that he heard what VAR said to the referee and not once did they mention that he slipped, so that probably lead the referee into not taking that into consideration when he looked at the screen.

Ned he could not have helped noticed he slipped as that appeared to be only angle used? Wtf was var watching though to even want ref to overturn his yellow card even opponent shook his hand afterwards! Yet again it appears that var can't get a simp decision right? Not sure if one of the several criteria they use to determine red was met by the tackle..... he was 2ft away so no force ... foot wasn't high that hit his ankle ... no intent and not dangerous either... so be interesting to see pgmol and their take on incident ?

Not sure you can with a var decision....but can't seeing it being overturned as it would make var and ref look incompetent fools... so will come up with his foot was dangerously high and endangering an opponent so officials were correct... despite var being only people on planet thinking it was a red card.

Was it him sent off? If do not surprising but still begs question wtf was var watching or doing not to mention he slipped going into tackle? And how could ref be blinded by var decision... he saw he slipped so why ignore what he saw? Standards are really poor this season ...

Bournemouth will welcome the news announced on Wednesday morning that Evanilson's red card against Manchester United on Sunday has been rescinded, and that the Cherries will now not see their main striker suspended for three of their four remaining games.
The decision did not come as a surprise, given the FA's decision to overturn a red card shown to United captain Bruno Fernandes in similar circumstances when he slipped while attempting a tackle against Tottenham on 29 September.
The Cherries had been leading 1-0 when Evanilson was sent off after the video assistant referee (VAR) called on-field official Peter Bankes (who had shown the Brazilian a yellow card) to the replay screen.
