What a Joke / They Finally Call for Meeting:

CC Trust with about 200 Members and most live in Australia/America and New Zealand

Finally call for a meeting:

Will never ask the right questions:

K. MORGAN:

"We are dedicated fans of Cardiff City FC, some of us have supported the club through thick and thin for more than 60 years. However, we could not let the dreadful relegation to League One after more than 20 years in higher divisions go without comment. Relegation in all honesty has been coming since the 2021-22 season and the failure to address fundamental required changes from the top down has now come home to roost.

"Unless these matters are tackled urgently, the downward spiral on and off the field will continue and fan support will continue to drift away at an even faster rate than it has already.

"Of course we appreciate the enormous financial support from the club owner Vincent Tan which has led to promotion to the Premier League on two occasions. But there has been a complete failure to address the 'elephants in the room' of a lack of specialist football experience and knowledge at club board level and the lack of any full-time board director at the club, leading to an apparent lack of advice and knowledge to pass on to the owner.

"As the season has progressed and it quickly became evident that things were not going to plan on the pitch, it has been far from clear who on the club board, if anyone, has been advising the owner on footballing matters. If any such advice and recommendations have in fact been given, it is unclear if any notice has been taken of such advice and recommendations. Sadly, this has proved to be a critical element in the club's relegation in our view as the seemingly absolute and unchallengeable power of the owner in all major decisions has failed to work to the club's benefit.

"The appointment of a club board member with specialist football knowledge and experience has been raised by the trust with the club CEO Ken Choo and club chair Mehmet Dalman and has also been raised by the other elected official fan bodies Cardiff City Supporters' Club, the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) and the Disabled Supporters’ Association. Those officials have stated in meetings with fan bodies that they would be in favour of such an appointment but that the owner has been steadfastly against the idea, and he remains the sole decision maker. It seems to us that most of the strategic decision making at the club by the owner has been made in what is, effectively, an empirical knowledge and information vacuum.

"After the worst start to a season in the club's history and the expected departure of manager Erol Bulut, we believe it was a mistake to appoint such an inexperienced Championship manager as Omer Riza when there many experienced managers available to recruit. We are also unclear as to whether the permanent appointment of Omer Riza after an inordinate delay and after a series of poor performances and results was based on a board decision/recommendation or was solely a decision by the owner and on what criteria that decision was made.

"We thank Aaron Ramsey for stepping into an ultimately unsuccessful position as caretaker manager for the last three games of the season. However, we strongly believe that for the next season in League One we need an experienced manager at that level, possibly with Aaron playing a part in an assistant role to pick up experience (similar to Craig Bellamy under Vincent Kompany at Burnley and Anderlecht).

"We are also disappointed that Vincent Tan has made only minimal and very infrequent contact with the club fans to discuss issues and listen to fans views and concerns.

"There has therefore been virtually no opportunity for fans to speak to the person who appears to be the sole decision maker on key issues at the club.

Re: What a Joke / They Finally Call for Meeting:

Its not just them but a number of "Pro Tan" indivisuals now calling for Tan to intervene more publically.

The penny might drop amongst them one day but the real problem is Tan himself.

It just leaves you so frustrated angry and confused doesn't it Annis.
It's almost Tan new this was happening but he just let it happen.

Unless he leaves and sells up which is probably now what is needed to hit the reset button.
Or Tan makes changes to the structure and running of the club we will fall down again.

Great stadium great fan base good position in cardiff within the uk .
New training ground .So we do have a lot going for us .

There is however one massive fail .
That's how the club is run by one stubborn man Vincent Tan.

Red shirts with fans that where pink pajamas. Is all a joke isn't it he hasn't understood football from day one .
Hasn't learnt a thing .He has caused his own downfall himself and writing has been on the wall for years .

It could all of been so different he's put a lot of money in but continued to make the decisions and the wrong ones .

He feels so privileged and hard done by that he won't come here I think he hates us .
He thinks it's everyone else's fault.

The minute he changed the kit to red was the end of every thing wasn't it .
He came on tv and said cardiff had achieved nothing up to the point he took over .

He created a fan division and ruined the identity of the club .
I'll never forget the sell out and like tony Jeffrey's and all the others.

Tan has never understood football and ultimately it's been his little play thing that he himself has bit his own arse .
Issue is we the fans have been on that ride with him.

He could of been a hero here in cardiff but he ruined that himself didn't he .

He said do you think I'm an idiot I have a plan two years ago that was the last time he spoke .

I bet his plan wasn't league one was it.

He also said when he leaves this club he will leave it in a better position than when he took over .

Well I don't think so .
His inability to accept that he is the one that makes all the decisions about everything now he is the sole blame.

He will never accept it he will blame e everyone bar himself as a narcissist that he is.

I'm fuming so angry the man's a fool a d his other team finshed second from bottom again so it's not just cardiff he runs that one aswell.

We are in a mess because he is never gonna accept responsibility nor will he ever let anyone else run or help or advise him in running the club.

He needs to sell up and move on that in my opinion is the only way forward annis.

Even if he did get in a director of football everyone would happy with it a great finally tan has listened they would say.

Well it's pointless he doesn't listen to anyone bar himself and it's obviously that will never change in a million years.

We are worse off than when he came and probably in more debt when he said we would be debt free.

We are in a mess and if people think or we are cardiff city the biggest club in league one we will be straight back up next year .
Think again guys
Oh and apparently 9 of our gutless players have a relegation clause in there contract so they can just move on.
What Incentive did that give them not to be relegated.
The club is an embarrassment to this city our city .
What a mess Annis

You know what will happen, they will make a bit of noise now and again and tan will just tug there lead a little harder and they will fall back into line

They don't have the bollocks to say what is really needed to be said

Re: What a Joke / They Finally Call for Meeting:

Meeting with Tan is pointless anyway. He has no love for and no interest in the club. If he is bankrolling the club then he MUST be getting something in return, I don't care what anyone says. If he's not getting anything out of this 'marriage' then, in my opinion, he is more stupid and more useless as a businessman than I thought.

Re: What a Joke / They Finally Call for Meeting:

As I always say (sadly) ‘The Trust’ only represent the interests of their members and they are few. If they had any real ‘clout’ or credibility, more would join; but (sadly again) they don’t. They are pretty ineffective to the human eye and seem to divide rather than unify with their seemingly ‘self-interested’ actions (or maybe more lack of)

Re: What a Joke / They Finally Call for Meeting:

I disagree with the trust statement especially the part about Aaron Ramsey

I think the trust are far from perfect

But let's examine things here

They only have 200 members and most of them live in new Zealand etc .....that's totally incorrect

They have very few members ? ......compared to what ? They only represent themselves , not the fans ?

The recent protest match ....which plenty of fans who are also trust members went on and supported ...only had 400 on it ?

Well that's poor isn't it ?

Does that mean the 400 represent the club ? Or only themselves?

So where are we going with all this ?

If you want shall we go back to the days of the supporters club being our only voice ? And they weren't a voice .....they organised coach trips and the kids Xmas party

The trust , the FAB , protest groups .......nothings perfect

But if you bicker and argue with each other like school kids then you are not getting anywhere

The protest group was mobilised around the turn of the year and the first march was January 16th at the Swansea game so they did act quicker than most, the fab did release there letter but we're soon bought to heel and towed the line from then on

I do agree now is the time for all different groups to come together and work as one, we need the fan base united if we're going to be successful at getting the change needed to stop our club sliding towards the abyss

The protest group had their first demo in January against Leeds when they marched from Canton to the stadium. As for the trust it all sounded a great idea to have direct access to Dalman and the car salesman but it's never quite worked out that way has it?? Very few meetings have taken place and of the ones that have, very few of the difficult questions have been put to Tans yes men. I do agree with you that now is the time for all supporters and official groups to unite and try to run the 3 fraudsters out of our club.

Annis, this statement (for what it's worth) should have been release at christmas when everybody could see the direction the team were going, not now when it's too late.

Well the same could be said of the protest group on here .....why wasn't that jumping up and down earlier then?

This in fighting is pathetic

The protest group had their first demo in January against Leeds when they marched from Canton to the stadium. As for the trust it all sounded a great idea to have direct access to Dalman and the car salesman but it's never quite worked out that way has it?? Very few meetings have taken place and of the ones that have, very few of the difficult questions have been put to Tans yes men. I do agree with you that now is the time for all supporters and official groups to unite and try to run the 3 fraudsters out of our club.

The same criticisms you are aiming at the trust and they are fair enough are being aimed at the protest group and will be aimed at the protest group in the future

If you had 3000 on a protest March the other 15000 at the ground could say....well you don't represent US !

It's not going to achieve anything if all people can do is argue

Bunch of pen pushers .

So the 400 on the protest represent the fans ?

But the small membership of the trust , around the same amount , a few hundred ....doesn't?

I really don't see the point of all this back stabbing , it's pathetic, it's been going on for years

Sludge?

I will say it straight to you:

THE TRUST IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME / STAND OUTSIDE WITH THEIR FREE ROOM AND COFFEES EVERY HOME GAME / NOT INCREASED NUMBERS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS:

And talk complete shite.

Jack game well organised 2,500 Protested

Ramsey came in just before Oxford game and changed our fans minds / we only gave 48hrs for Oxford so 500 is good:

Don't know why you care so much what the Jacks think, this has nothing to do with them.

You can't say that we should all come together to get the owner out, because people like the Trust will never join that.

So your point doesn't really stand up.

The people who organised the protest made it clear that it was for all fans, it's up to others that they decided not to join that.

But reading your posts on this thread, you're being more divisive than anyone else who has commented.

Whilst some are tan out and others are more tan in I think everyone would agree that the club can't go on being run the way it is or there's only one way we will go and that's further down

This is why I feel it's important for people to come together and agree on a common goal which is sort this f*cking mess out one way or another and do it now

You can all blame this and that for all the wrong doing at the club .

Ultimately it's lands at one man's desk .
Vincent Tan
Unless he has a plan to seriously change everything from top to bottom including himself as he is the biggest problem.

Nothing will change .

Come on then Vincent let's here your plans for cardiff city next season as the silence from the club is defining.

One man one club not anymore he has to change its that simple

Any talks would only be of value if all supporter groups were represented.
From what I’ve seen, the trust has not achieved anything as Tan doesn’t take the supporters seriously.
Nobody wants to be in position where they have to demonstrate against their club but at times it’s the only option.
Why can’t the trust first organise a meeting of all the supporter groups before meeting Tan?

It's up to fans if they want to join the trust , the supporters club , a protest group or not do anything at all

It's no good moaning about the trust and the fact that only a few hundred are members when only a few hundred marched the other day

The posts on here are almost always anti trust ....that's fine .....I think they make plenty of mistakes

But putting the boot in when others opposed to it have had years and years and years to get other things organised is a bit ironic

I can tell you now that this sort of bollocks has been going on for years and years and some of our supporters never ever learn

That's clearly Tans fault then

If tan doesn't respect the supporters then that's not a problem with the trust

Wether the trust or a protest group or whoever is not listened to or respected then you only have the option of trying to get a new owner

Nothing else is relevant and fans arguing like kids about it is not going to achieve anything

So yes , a fans meeting could be an idea but it would probably end up in a fecking ruck
