IMO we either give him the head coach role with structure around him or let him leave.
If you were an experienced L1 manager, would you want the fans hero sitting in the changing room "judging" you?
What happens if he doesn't want a 10 and thinks he is too slow and injury-prone for a L1 "8's" role. Would you want your obvious replacement sitting there?
I disliked Warnock for the Whitts decision, but Warnock wasn't a passing through the opposition manager; he wanted 3 aggressive, physically dominant midfielders, so he let Whitts go.
Some big decisions for the clubs and Ramsey over the next few weeks.
I don't think a L1 club needs a CEO and DoF, if you have the skillset, they can be merged. McPhail has done a pretty long apprenticeship in the league of Ireland.
Maybe its Rambo head coach and McPhail the DoF.....It would be a gamble, but everything in life is.
