There will be plenty of Red shirts…

Sat Apr 26, 2025 7:49 pm

In Cardiff next season.

Those shirts will be Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd ones. I wonder what sort of attendances we can expect.

Tan has now given the younger supporters in our fan base something they will not have seen in Cardiff before.

A lot of our younger supporters will never have seen Cardiff in the lower leagues. They will have grown up watching Cardiff in the Championship, with two seasons in the prem.

That along with the success of Wales, it made Cardiff a team that youngsters wanted to watch, that got kids interested in football.

Tan and his pig headedness has caused our drop back to league one, after 22 years.

I can see a lot of youngsters who are still ‘picking a team’ not even bat an eyelid at Cardiff. They will want to watch quality football with quality players. Not spending their weekend watching us against Stevenage.

Tan, you have ripped the heart, fight and ambition out of this great club.

As of next season we are the 3rd highest placed Welsh team in the EFL - unthinkable three years ago.

How do youngsters watch teams like Liverpool man u ect? On sky if their parents can afford the £70+ monthly cost? Bit awkward to watch Liverpool ect every game in pub ..more likely we will lose them to other hobbies or pastimes ...the only way for any club to get youngsters on board is success nothing else

Just look at the history of success in English football to fanbase… the 70’s and 80’s was Liverpool, 90’s through to late 2000’s was Man Utd/Arsenal/Chelsea and during the 10’s it’s predominantly been Man City in the top flight. Kids now a days tend to follow parents or their mates. There are a few exceptions where they choose a player so support whoever that player signs for ie Ronaldo, Messi, Mbape etc.

The South Wales Reds has always been and will always be a curse. Says more about the parents more than anything. If they're not into football or support Liverpool/United, their kids won't support Cardiff. Most fans become a fan because they were taken to a game when they were young. It's up to the parents to decide that.
