A forum for all things Cardiff City
Fri Apr 25, 2025 8:01 pm
I only have an account on here, I don’t post or have an account anywhere else, but I do look on those forums and places.
There are multiple posts and threads amongst those forums that say how we are in a position that kills the club if Tan was to leave right now.
They are calling the protests egotistical - but here is the krux - there is a lot of opposition to the posts.
They state they did not know the protest/demonstration was happening.
Was the demo advertised anywhere other than this forum/facebook?
If not, then this needs to happen - not all City fans read this forum - some use other platforms or forums.
How do we get the news out on a more viewable way?
How do we make sure that this group seems inclusive? Right now the opinion (so it seems) from other forums is that this is a ‘forum thing’ that no one else is involved in

I tried putting it on another big forum but it doesn’t get put on , as they’re so against the protest and they think tan is our saviour .
I also tried before with the January March but got slated and then it got took down .
There was very little time this time around to get flyers etc out as we only had a couple of days notice really .

One of the other forums is run by Nathaniel Freeman. He has had a falling out with Annis, he used to be a member here but left. He won’t have anything bad said about Tan and won’t allow any protest speak on their facebook page or chat even though there are more and more voicing their opinions of wanting Tan out. The narrative being pushed there is we want Tan out and Sam back, that’s the agenda of Annis and why he’s pushing for protests.

I'm sorry but I don't buy this argument at all.
Last week, before the Oxford game, Jonny put on here to ask if anyone could put a post about the protest on CCMB as he wasn't a member on there. I'm not a member on there either, so I couldn't. I don't know if anyone did post it on there.
I also don't agree with the suggestion that the people who organised the protests, of which I am not one, were all heavily involved because of this forum. That's not the case.
The other thing that irritates me is I've seen some call it "Annis' protest". Jonny has said time and time again that while Annis has helped to promote it and helped them with it, that is also not true. Annis has told me many times that he thinks the younger fans need to take control of it.
These same people have also tricked themselves into thinking this is a "Sam In" movement - also completely untrue.
As for other promotion? Well I'm not on Facebook anymore but I saw it mentioned by plenty of people who have nothing to do this forum on X.
It was mentioned by Dafydd Pritchard from the BBC, Glen Williams and Paul Abbandanato.
So I find it very hard to believe that these people didn't know about it.
So I think this is an excuse by some people who want Tan to go but are letting personal differences get in the way, so didn't attend.
A reminder that the organisers have always invited ALL fans to join.
So it is not the people behind the protests that are excluding anyone.
And the argument that it hasn't been mentioned anywhere apart from here and Facebook just doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

He use to call himself Red Bird on here during the Rebrand.
He was a total wind up, then he was Nat Red, he also stalked me on everything.
He actually needs help big time.
He used to to send me messages saying he watching me eating, sitting down in the Ninian etc etc et

Social media is an echo chamber, we tend to stick with those closer to our views.
I read the other forum and post occasionally when they have decent football debates. I use the same username.
A divergence of opinion or culture isn't wrong, it's how society works.
IMO they tend to be left/liberal "play the right way", trust or former trust members, and this one is more right wing, terrace culture than purely what's on the field.
But they also have many articulate, eloquent, prominent posters who lambast Tan and his managerial hires in nearly every post in a far more damning manner than on here.
Of course, a few who post there don't like the tone of this forum, as this one has little time for trust. It's perfectly normal.

I only post on one other forum and thats on FB.
I would say the admin are more Pro-Tan than Anti-Tan. However to any Pro-Tan posts I see 2 Anti-Tan posts. As for the protests the same can be said.

I’d be astonished if Tan hasn’t got placed posters on social media.

That made me chuckle. Truth is he’s a lot less bothered than we are.
