South Wales Police have made the decision to close Sloper Road after the home match against West Bromwich Albion:
Supporters should be aware that Sloper Road will be temporarily closed towards the end of Saturday’s match.
This measure will come into force in the 80th minute of the match and end approximately 30 minutes after the final whistle.
Cardiff City fans will be unable to travel along Sloper Road in the direction of Penarth Road during this period.
West Bromwich Albion fans must turn right only upon exiting Cardiff City Stadium, moving towards Penarth Road, the City Centre parking areas and Cardiff Central train station. Away supporters will not be able to travel along Sloper Road in the direction of Leckwith Road during this period. Away fans are encouraged to use city centre car parks.
The decision to limit movement post-match was taken by South Wales Police in the interest of public safety. South Wales Police will make every effort to keep to the above timescale.
All supporters will be able to walk down Sloper Road from the Grangetown area ahead of the match.

One of life's mysteries? Why do swp penalise city fans when it's easier to keep wba fans in ground for 20nins or so instead of closing Rd for and hour because thats how long it will be by time they get out ground and decide to walk away ......

It's to allow wba fans to walk to Station as normal city 2nd class citizens as far as swp is concerned

Easy enough to get round. There a gate at the lhs of Costco as you look in the corner of the car park. Go through that a swift left and right and after 100 yards your on sloped road. Have a look on Bing maps satellite and you'll see the open gate.

It looks like the Valley Line trains are off as well. What's wrong with this country?
If they can't correct the bridge between Queen street and Central, why can't they terminate the valley trains at Queen Street and Barry and Penarth at Central?
