“ CCFC Protest Group “

Thu Apr 24, 2025 12:42 pm

Please be aware that having met as a group on Tuesday, there are no immediate plans for action at the WBA game.

We are looking to build over the closed season and come back next year as an opposition to Tan in the most effective way possible. We want to take the fans with us, and want to be seen as a creditable alternative to the FAB and The Trust. We will set up our Mission Statement so that everyone can be in no doubt as to our aims and demands and why we are asking for them.

Please look out over the Summer for details of the group, one which has been decided will have a new name other than 'Tan Out'.

Thanks for your patience. We have guys on the committee who are good, honest and true.

Lets try and work together for the benefit of a common goal.

No one; but eventually (and the wait goes on) that will change unless he suddenly does a Trump-sized u-turn and gets the club back to the Premier League quickly, which is less even less likely than a kept Labour Party manifesto promise!

I wish Jonny and the team the very best going forward. He (Jonny) cares about the club deeply and doesn’t deserve the cynicism that he gets from some quarters

Firstly well done to all involved.

I feel, for this group to be a success it is imperative that the committee do not get brainwashed by Dalman.

He has already managed to put a stop to a planned protest by offering a meeting (which he had previously offered) - and then gone quiet yet again.

Chris, Annis, thank you for your kind words and support.

Who knows where this might lead? Every group starts as an idea. As for the members of the committee, there are those who may want to keep a lower profile.

Rest assured all are fully committed, have excellent values and all have skillsets that will make our group as professional and efficient as possible in being a voice for change.

We are formed as a pressure group but will not be one dimensional. We will be able to adapt, and grow and be open to change as situation dictates.

Let's see eh?

Jonny, you have fronted this up from the start, so the credit goes to you and some others, who have their reasons for not going public at this stage

All people need to know is that you guys are on it, moving forward, planning, and keeping people up to speed as best you can

You’ll never please everyone but I believe the majority will be with you, so long as it’s done right

That Annis is involved, no matter in what capacity, will be a boost for the group, too. His experience will be valuable and you can always depend on him

Good luck and best wishes to you all going forward. The time for a ‘real supporters voice’ after the failure (IMHO) of the Trust and FAB, really has come! :ayatollah:

This is not meant as a criticism of Annis, but do you think his involvement will be a benefit for the credibility of this Group?

Honest question, I believe Annis is seen as a decisive figure and anything he becomes involved in will be poo poo’d by a large amount of our fan base.

I presume you meant divisive rather than decisive.

There are usually a few comments in the WOL articles deriding both the marchers & Annis o ye he's a divisive figure but brings a lot more to the table in terms of experience etc. than the people doing the whining ever would or could.

Annis is not a yes man and cares about city so he’s ideal for this group :ayatollah:

After 10 Protests I’ve led over a 53 year period of Supporting the City, I am totally taking a back seat on it all.

I am hurt by how little Our Fans stand up to a Hierarchy who have slowly killed and hurt Our Club and the Passion Our Fans and once had.

It’s time younger Fans led any Protests and Demonstrations.

But I am Renewing My Season Ticket as usual.
