:bluebird: :bluescarf: “ CARDIFF CITY’S CARETAKER MANAGER AaRON UPDATES CARDIFF CITY FANS :bluebird: :bluescarf:

Friday 25th April 2024

Cardiff with only 5 Wins in their last 31 League Games, plus the dropping of 2 Vital home points v Oxford on Monday and one of the worst goal differences, Cardiff look virtually relegated all but a miracle.

Cardiff City v WBA this Saturday 3pm.

WBA have only Won 1 game in their last 8 including 5 defeats.

Aaron Ramsey:

"I'm trying to get back from a hamstring injury. I will be straight into rehab after this season finishes, that's for sure.“

“All the other games on Monday went against us.”

“We need every Cardiff fans behind us this Saturday.”

“I think the level of the performance from the boys was superb against Oxford.”

"My way of looking at it is just these two games and trying to keep this club in the Championship.

"It means a lot to me to be given this opportunity and I couldn't turn that down. My full focus is trying to keep Cardiff in the Championship and it will be back to rehab then, with the hamstring.“

Aaron Ramsey:

“ My Future “

"For me it is just about focusing on the next two games and then in the summer really focusing on getting a good rehab and giving myself the opportunity to get back into a good place. I had the operation hoping that would give me the best chance to get my hamstring working properly. In a few weeks time I will be back doing rehab and if all that goes well.”

"There is still unfinished business. There is a lot still to play for and that World Cup is a massive carrot being dangled. That’s what I will be focusing on in a few weeks time."

Aaron Ramsey:

"I managed to get the brace off at the weekend. It is still a few months away as I’m still in the very early days of my rehab. I am able to walk around and fully extend my knee for the first time in five weeks or so. In the next few weeks I can start to ramp up the rehab and go through the gears a bit. I had surgery about six weeks ago.“

Aaron Ramsey:

"It's been brilliant. The players theyve been first class. Everyone has come in and given a new lease of energy and new life. There is a real buzz around the place. We want the same again on Saturday. We need everyone fully on board and hopefully we will have a result we can celebrate at the end.”

"They get it. They know. The players, staff in the club are all together in this. They have seen that with the fans at the weekend. The celebration after the goal, jumping in with the people in the crowd, the bench was over, some of the subs were involved. We all want the same, together, so we all have to come together to make that possible."

Aaron Ramsey :

"I was at this club from eight years old, so they give me the opportunity that I will forever be grateful for. To do what I've done in my career, it all started here so it means everything to me.

"For me now to take this on and to play my part, hopefully, in being able to celebrate something at the end of the season, and avoid relegation, would be something special.

"Obviously, [these games] are huge. This club has so much potential to be competing at the highest level.“

West Bromwich Albion’s manager is James Morrison, who has been appointed for the remainder of the season, following Tony Mowbray’s departure on Monday.

Morrison represented two clubs throughout his playing days. The former midfielder came through the Middlesbrough academy and went on to make 98 appearances for the club before swapping Yorkshire for the Black Country in 2007.

He spent 12 years at the Baggies racking up well over 300 appearances and recording 73 goal contributions.

The Durham-born boss took his first steps into coaching in the West Brom academy, working his way up the ranks to First Team coach.

Alongside his work at the Baggies, he has been a part of Scotland’s coaching team, whom he represented during his playing days.

This Saturday’s fixture will mark his debut as a manager in senior football.

“They did everything we asked of them throughout the week.”

“We controlled the game pretty well and we played with real intensity and intent, and sometimes, football can be cruel, these things happen and it took a worldly from 35 yards to score against us.”

Aaron Ramsey:

"It’s not easy when teams go down. We have seen that with other clubs. It is not straightforward. But we're not really thinking about those sorts of things at the moment.

"We can't let that come into our thought process. We have to just focus on the next game and give ourselves a chance and then see where that takes us. But we need everybody fully on board with that for us to have any chance.“

Chambers on Ramsey:

“He’s been class. He knows very clearly what he wants from us. His messages, the amount of detail he got into us before the game in such little time and already what we’ve done this week, it’s been great. Everyone knows what an amazing guy he is.’

Aaron Ramsey:

“WBA are a good team, a bit of experience in there at this level and some players who are more than capable of playing," Aaron added. "I’m expecting for them to want to play, try and play between the lines and for them to be quite aggressive in the press.

"We’ve seen a bit of them, they have some real threats across the pitch, but hopefully we can best prepare the players to deal with that to implement what we want to and have them have something to worry about from us.

“These players have won plenty of games in their careers, so they know how to do that. It’s just about giving them the belief now to do that and the right structure for them to be able to do it. The confidence seems high, the energy seems high in training, so hopefully now they can transmit that into the game.”
