Depressing, isn't it?

Mon Apr 21, 2025 9:16 pm

All got so real today when Brannagan scored.

Just got home and slumped on my sofa.

We worked so hard to get to the Championship and it feels like we've thrown it away.

We shouldn't be a League One club. Everything was in place for us to yo-yo between Premier League and Championship.

So get why some haven't accepted it - it's going to take some getting used to.

Can only accept it when it happens as been pointed out city gave it away to Preston in worse scenario than this.... and forest gave up 7 goal swing on last day to drop out playoffs and undoubtedly
lots more such cases that's why cannot accept relegation until it happens ...football is such s funny old game so they say ned.

Well Allan, I've been wrong on many things this season - hope that continues.

Yes ned but see where coming from and stats tells us we've got no chance but football is football and stranger things have happened than city escaping relegation in this situation... tbh didn't expect those above us all to win... so if do win Saturday it will go to last game whatever the scores are in other games

Unfortunately I don’t see you being wrong with this.

It’s not in our hands and we have to hope for certain results to go the right way, as we had to yesterday.

If the teams around us yesterday had all lost, then I would still see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel, but the results were as bad as they could have been.

As disappointed as I am this doesn't really define my life. I still get to run around with my grand kids, some people don't have that, I still get to go to nice places (I don't mean Mansfield next season). I have my health and the City will still be around next season and some new places to visit, though pissed off Shrewsbury got relegated and a lot of trip next season are up North and Northish.

I think we have seen it coming for a while a successive wrong decisions and what ifs have defined this, though its not over yet mathematically. It may push VT to sell but I don't think he is going anyway until the Sala issue is finished, that is his aim. What a a worse to end with though Norwich away, one of the most depressing trips ever!

Uppa City :bluebird:

All depends how you look at it. If we are relegated not much will change. I’ll still meet my mates, l I’ll still support the club. Sometimes we forget that we didn’t start supporting Cardiff for success. We’d be mental if we did.

There won't be any atmosphere. The stadium is totally unsuitable for league one football. Id move us across the road until we got promoted.

If we do go down I think some coordination to make a “singers section” or something similar might be a good idea. Get the Canton packed at least and try and create an atmosphere that way.
