" AARON RAMSEY: WE'LL GIVE YOU EVERYTHING "

Sat Apr 19, 2025 6:02 pm

CARDIFF CITY INTERIM MANAGER AARON RAMSEY:

"We've still got a lot of football to play, starting on Monday. It's a huge game - there's no question about that.

"There's a lot of work to be done, but we're ready for that, we're prepared. We'll have meetings tomorrow to get the boys in the best possible place. Hopefully we'll get the lads in a good place to be able to show what we're all about, and get that momentum going.

"Oxford are a well structured team, and have done well of late. We're expecting a tough game, but we'll be working on things this evening, and hopefully we can cause them a few problems. The energy and intensity that we want to play at will ask them some questions.

"I'm looking for a really energetic performance, on the front foot, and hopefully we can implement the way that I see the game into the match on Monday.

"The coaches that will assist me are massively important. They understand the Club, they're fans of the Club, and I think that will really relay into the players, for them to realise the responsibility that we have as a group of players and staff. There's people there that really care, and I want that to be implemented around the team.

"The fans are huge for us. I'm really looking forward to seeing our fans getting right behind the team and playing their part. They've been really patient with us this season, and I thank them for that.

"Hopefully now in this last three games, starting on Monday, they can get right behind us and help us get over the line. I know what it's like to be a Cardiff fan, and I can relate to them. Please get behind this team now, because we'll give you everything on Monday and for the remaining two games.

"It's all about togetherness and sticking by each other now. We need to get out of the situation we're in, there's no two ways about that. Hopefully we'll have something to celebrate at the end of the season."

Brilliant interview. Listening to him speak it felt sincere and genuine unlike Riza's sound bite cup final nonsense. Whatever happens in the next two weeks I feel confident we will now do our best to stay up. Come on City!

Personally I've always loved Ramsey all his playing career for clubs and country. I remember him playing at 16 and all the fans sat around in the bob bank saying wow this kid looks really good .
He's been in the game a long time k how's what it takes on and off the field.
He came back here could of gone to Saudi to cash in but came here because he loves city and wanted to give something back.
Now for 3 games he has a chance to install what Cardiff city is all about blood guts and thunder .
It's all been to slow all season .Ramsey gunter and ralls all no this club inside out .
There's a lot of respect for the 3 of them and I'd love it for them to pull it off .
Ultimately the players have to do there bit now .
Thanks to all of them true Cardiff fans the 3 of them .
Good luck

Agree with this. Always planned to go Monday but now I'm actually looking forward to it.

The fans still need to be outside the main entrance at 2pm because the point of that is unchanged.

But I'm more optimistic for the game.

They do say that it's the hope that kills you.

Hopefully he brings a bit of Bellamy to Cardiff.

I suspect won’t be enough time to make this happen by Monday but West Brom and Norwich have little to play for.

If there’s a player that seems to always have a new manager boost it’s Robinson, and he has the quality to make a massive impact.

I’m intrigued to know what formation we will go with, and the starting line up. Unfortunately if it’s as random as Riza with little to no sense I fear Rambo might not be pulling the strings :(

Interestingly it will possibly show the 11 that he most trusts to give absolutely everything in effort.

There are several players that owe us a performance, that's what will count tomorrow.

If Rambo turns this around, I assume the managers job is his for the taking for next season.
It is the cheaper option which Tan will like although he would be a manager with no previous experience of managing.
Not sure how that will go down!
But, good luck to the lad.

Its just three games, surely?

He still wants to play for Wales.

Riza only had a few games experience so I reckon he’ll be ok but who knows with VT.

Agree, World Cup next year , he’ll be desperate to play in that as will be his last chance. I don’t see how he does that remaining as a manager

Not likely that he'll play in the World Cup with his injury record though.

Good Luck to him and the team tomorrow :bluebird:
