Salech

Thought he was awful yesterday, taking too long to make decisions and release the ball. He was hesitant, taking too long to get a shot off, taking an unnecessary, extra first touch in the first half before shooting which meant the opportunity had gone and his shot got blocked. He didn't hold the ball up and link play well and he just looked slow, out of sorts and off the pace.

My biggest disappointment was their first goal - he ducked out of a 50/50 header and that allowed Sheffield United to start their attack for their goal. I didn't think Salech was the type of character to duck out of a challenge like that. Warriors like Heidar Helguson for example would have thrown himself into it and unfortunately, that's the difference why we're down where we are. I hope Salech just had an off day, but I can't forgive any player ducking out of a challenge for us, especially in the position we're currently in.

The teams below us fight and scrap and they're picking up results. Oxford last night were hitting long diagnonals, then throwing themselves at 50/50 headers to get the ball into the box. They kept working the ball into dangerous areas, getting bodies forward, getting the ball wide and relentlessly putting crosses into the box. In contrast, we just slowly pop the ball around with no urgency or enthusiasm. We have no creative ideas, we're so slow, ponderous, predictable and easy to play against.

Thank goodness Riza has gone and hopefully, Ramsey with Gunter and Ralls as his assistants can finally install some motivation, passion, urgency and desire into our players.

Very surprised to hear of him ducking a challenge. Hopefully a one off.

He looks like a player fed up with being lone striker and not getting crosses to him? Hopefully he'll be rejuvenated now as sure rambo gunter will play to strength of team

My thoughts exactly Al. Think there’ll be a big lift in the team, regardless of the short time that the new management team have been involved.

Yes definitely bottled challenge. Not good enough. Part of our problem too many half hearted players crossing the white line week in week out.

Can't argue with the OP but it's not just him, all the players gave up under Riza.

Would expect different on Monday.

He was probably pissed off that nobody crossed the ball to him until we were 2-0 down.
