Derby v Luton is just as important as our own game and could well see us cut even further adrift.

We need Luton to win

The three non-3pm games will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, including our visit to Sheffield United. The remaining nine games will all be on Sky Sports+.

With just four games to go, there is all to play for - promotion, top six and relegation are all to be decided.

Championship fixtures and results on Good Friday - kick off 3pm unless stated

Blackburn Rovers v Millwall

Bristol City v Sunderland

Coventry City v West Bromwich Albion

Derby County v Luton Town (12.30pm)

Middlesbrough v Plymouth Argyle

Norwich City v Portsmouth

Oxford United v Leeds United (8pm)

Preston North End v QPR

Sheffield United v Cardiff City (5.30pm)

Stoke City v Sheffield Wednesday

Swansea City v Hull City

Watford v Burnley

The final days fixtures look very good for us with derby playing Stoke and Hull vs Pompey . However , under Riza I just don’t see us winning at least 2 from 4 so I think we’ll be down by then , probably at the end of our last home game but possibly after the Oxford game.

Happy 125th

Yes, Derby winning will be pretty much curtains for us (I think we’re going down anyway though sadly) I only see us getting points potential against Oxford

If we are bottom by end day we will need to win last 3 games nothing else will do.

Definitely better to play later, that way we know what a win gets us - either just keeping us in touch or taking us out of the bottom three.

Derby beating Luton would be the worst result in the early kick off.

Yes need draw best result or Luton as next best.... but either way if we are bottom by 5.30 will need 3 wins at least to survive

I think Luton winning is the best result, takes them 1 point above us and keeps derby within 1 point also. If we somehow win at Sheffield we then go 2 points above them both

Derby win
Sheffield United win

That will be the end of our Championship stay.

Re: LATEST: DERBY v LUTON

Derby v Luton begins in just over ten minutes.

Massive game. Luton have to win really because their last three are against the teams in 5th, 6th and 7th.

Derby -v- Luton

Fri Apr 18, 2025 11:26 am

I would normally say hoping for a point but the way the fixtures are I think we need a Luton Win. We must then beat Oxford without fail and I think then we would need a further point against Sheff Utd, WBrom or Norwich.

If Derby win and we fail to beat Oxford I think thats it.

Awful pitch compared to most in championship? Tonight game is almost a freebie because of who are rivals have left to play? But got to win games something got no confidence we'll do.

Luton 1-0 up, a scrappy goal from a corner

Unfortunately at this stage of the season there is no such thing as a freebie because freak results happen regularly, on paper they have tough games but wouldn't suprise me if they win some of them games

Mendez-Laing gone off injured for Derby as well.

Not surprised because when do attack there's only one player in middle! Longer goes on better for us as derby only get time for equaliser

HT: DERBY 0-1 LUTON

Derby have been awful and were booed off by their own fans.

Luton might be a bit annoyed it's only 1-0.

Agree but I worry that Derby will be much better in the second half, after Eustace has done his team talk.

They'll definitely have to send more players forward though, strange tactics in the first half for a big game like this.

Re: LATEST: DERBY v LUTON

If it stays like this, it’s a nice boost for our players

A bit of an incentive to get us above two teams.

No good looking at other clubs results when we are rubbish. We can't buy a win.

So we should just ignore other results??

I agree we look unlikely to win but these other games are just as important.

Re: LATEST: DERBY v LUTON

Other results don't matter if we can't win a single game. It's over for us in the championship.
