TAN DALMAN?

Tue Apr 15, 2025 7:37 pm

Given that riza is tans choice against the advice of dalman and given that no other owner in football history would keep a coach for the results he's had what could this do to their relationship...... if had one in 1st place?
Dalman as invested 40m in city and he's seen tan basically wash it down the toilet with his bizarre support of riza? What will dalman do if City are relegated does he resign from board or does he put a consortium together to buy out tan? Surely the relationship as become untenable!

With the value of the club about to drop he most likely will try and buy him out alone. He will then look at the Hedge Fund guys to by him out woth a nice profit.

By all accounts there is stuff happening in the background.

Rumours have it that the relationship has fallen down between Tan and Dalman due to the money Dalman has put in and still having no real say on things.

Not sure how true this all is, but it seems things aren’t all rosy at board leve.

Thats the point of this ? Their relationship must be untenable given tan as made no attempt to avoid relegation and the financial
Repercussion for dalmans investment...plus lack of input into general running of club.

Sounds like a plan but will tan fall for it? Could tan sell at say £50m and put clause in to recoup more if Dalman sells...

Well we know that the Sala case is happening in September, so taking that into account, I don’t think we will be seeing the back of Tan until at least after that

Makes you wonder if Mehmet is manipulating the situation and he’s keeping Riza in to take us down.so the value comes down and he can buy the club somehow. There’s no evidence Warnock agreed he could be doing his bullshitting again.

Seems as if there is a power struggle going on at the club and that could be the reason tan is keeping riza to undermine dalman

He did that when kept riza after Leeds debacle.. all he's doing is trashing his and dalmans investment.....but power struggle hard to say because tan is in total control and not sure if dalman can do sfa about it even if got £40m invested

Tan and Dalman have fallen out before but this time it appears to be more serious. It’s difficult to confirm things from inside these days but it’s seemingly coming to a head with Dalman having invested time and money behind the scenes only to see his ‘investment’ squandered via the intransigence of another person

The club and the Sala case are no longer linked directly but it is having a huge effect behind the scenes

Sven, regarding the last line of the above, does that mean Dalman could buy the club from Tan, but Tan could still pursue the Sala case alone ? Or have I interpreted that wrong ?
