OT: Rory McIlroy Wins the Masters (and Grand Slam)

Rory McIlroy finally wins The Masters to complete the Career Grand Slam.

Fair play, didn't think he'd ever get it done after these last 11 years without a major.

But he was brilliant this weekend, some incredible shots towards the end of that final round.

Congratulations to him.


Got to mention Justin Rose too, who had an unbelievable final round to take McIlroy all the way to a play-off.

This year’s Masters has been surreal, Ned. Rory has been superb bar a few holes and that putt on the last was gutting for him

The best two players in the field this week and I am pleased for Justin Rose but I’m still rooting for Rory and he’s made a great starting drive to the first play-off hole (18th) and then two sensational shots to the green from both!

Give them a Green Jacket each!

What a select group of legends that is to be part of!

Mcllroy missed the equivalent of open goal 3 times in last round to drop shots how he managed to keep it together shows incredible mental strength.. as for rose he must be gutted 10 birdies in last round and still lost... Great TV

Pleased for Rory gutted for Rose. Still I’m sure the $2.2m runner up prize will soften the blow. Fantastic telly.
