" A late goal but I've lost hope "

Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:39 pm

You'd never know that we were a team battling relegation going by that performance.

It was abject - despite the late equaliser.

A draw was never enough tonight. We had to go and win.

We're hardly battling, there is no fight from this squad until the last five minutes of games when we get desperate - and that's the manager's responsibility.

We showed with the goals today that we could have won with an attacking team. But we were too defensive.

I've lost all hope that we will get ourselves out of this situation. That's the worst thing.

Fair play to Will Alves for coming in and having an impact. But that was one of very few highlights in a terrible performance.

We are going down with a whimper and it's horrible to watch.

Maybe I'm wrong and we'll beat Stoke but I can't see it.

Draws won't keep us up, we need wins.

That point could be vital despite the performance Luton equalised and draw derby drew Hull lost
As sud absolutely critical draw

Draws are no good now, we need wins.

I completely agree.

Another poor performance, lack of quality, urgency and lucky to get the draw. Simply not good enough against a team plodding towards their summer holidays. Riza is dreadful. Tan and Dalman get out of our club you have failed and you are not wanted

Re: " A late goal but I've lost hope "

We don't need 3 centre halfs and Chambers, even away. Fish is mobile enough to cover the space in a back 3 the other two aren't.

Riza is a fraud leading a team run by a bloke who has lost even more hope.

Sylvie di Giusto is credited for the saying "you become the image of your leader" and we have. We are clueless.

Yes allan keep the faith.

It’s looking grim but we’ve still got an outside chance.

I don’t understand these people who have literally given up.

Agree ned but it's as you were and that goal could just keep us up!
It was indifferent performance still pathetic defending. .. but we are hanging in there

Dreadful first half. Better second. We are absolutely awful and managed by a clueless management but I didnt see us give up so there is still hope. Never an easy place to get points away at Preston. Only a few points in it. You have to keep believing that's the curse of being a City fan. Get behind the team on Saturday again.

I have no confidence we'll stay up but other clubs fans are going through what we are... miete goal was vital in grand scheme of goings as we have 5 teams at present we can catch with a win so fat lady still in dressing room

I was hoping 48 points would be enough for survival but looking at the teams around us picking up points it could be 50 plus needed I can see us getting at most 6 more points if we're lucky and I don't think it will be enough

Well their home gorm is really good bit a lot of draws aswell ... but 5 teams at present within 3 points or less from us

Awful line up today!! Really don't understand why we didn't build on the very few clean sheets we've achieved this season.

Things that are really frustrating me about Riza is his constant tinkering with the line ups and that good players like Robertson looks worse under his management.

This squad is mid-table but it’s run by a nonleague manager.

We need a good Saturday.

Our first priority is to win against Stoke. Then it’s over to the other teams to do us a favour. Some interesting games there.

Wished tanner started to give a boost of energy to the whole team. Rinomhota has not got the quality to start games.

I’m with you mate, I’m 45 with two knackered legs and I can pass the ball and take better set pieces than our whole team. Their lack of fight and quality will send us down.

A point is not a disaster but there was so many things wrong with that entire performance I don’t know where to start

And what the hell were they doing in the last minute?? Had about 5 chances to clear the ball into row z but just fannied around irying to play out on the edge of the area and it so so nearly cost us dearly…what the fcuk where they thinking

It's obviously too late to change manager but the team have no fight in them, which is an awful place to be when in a relegation spot.

I am clutching at straws here but how do we get Graham Kavanagh or Neil Warnock or Michael Chopra or Robert Earnshaw or Aron Gunnarson into the changing room to put a rocket up their arses and explain what the club means to them.

Desperation makes you say idiotic things.

I said a few weeks ago the same as yourself - 48-50 pts was the target - Stoke and Oxford are the key games to Win .

If we are going to stay up we need to be safe by wba game. Derby play stoke last game of season so at least one of them will get points

you look at the goal diffrence, you look at the team selections, it's the same sh*t diffrent game - going down! we deserve it! one of two players can hold thier head high, other than that. need a major clear out!

It's been a trait all season opportunity to clear ball is notctaken lost count goals conceded by passing to opponent instead of row Z... its not rocket science.

Trying to put a positive on the situation….

If we go down, At least the likes of Colwill 1 and 2 will get some league 1 experience with a team hoping to get promoted. So too will other youngsters and mid career prospects like Davies, Fish, Daaland would all be regulars and get to grips with scrappy games
