Seen a few screenshots of Omer Riza messaging fans on Instagram.
Saying stuff like "I'm not going anywhere until the fat lady sings" and "I'll fight until my time ends."
Also has apparently spoke to these same fans on the phone.
I'm sorry but I think this is completely unprofessional. What other manager would do this?
He's still the manager so he should be focusing on what needs to change or even having a break from the stress of football management and not trying to be best mates with fans.
Bulut went to the pub a couple of times and a small chat with City fans, but this is on a different level.
Not appropriate in my view.

Riza never has any missed calls from Tan, he always answers the first one, that's why he likes him so much.
I can guarantee no manager in the entire EFL engages with fans like this, it just reeks of complete insecurity.
This period of managing us will be the highlight for the rest of his career.
On 13th December 2016 one man stood up to be counted against a pack of Wolves his name was Kenneth Zohore.

Shows he cares tbh ,I’ve said from the day he was given the job that he needed an experienced head alongside him not the three stooges he’s had .

If ignored them that would be wrong why not just accept it as him communicating with fans same as going to pub like bulut warnock did?

I think it's a bit weird for him to be messaging fans, getting their phone number and ringing them.

Omer Riza doesn’t ‘
speak’ to Vincent Tan immediately before or during a game. Messages are communicated via third-party text

Interesting, the fact that Riza does this with speaking and responding directly to fans on social media is very unusual for a supposed professional football manager.
He comes across very needy and wants to be everyone's friend.
His comments yesterday after the game he looked like a man that knows his time is nearly up.

Maybe so but we are not privy to the precise reasons or circumstances as to why he's done so .... let's not make it out to be more than it probably is? Just a manager being sociable

Confused? Ken stays in directors box while game is on unless Ken goes into dressing room at halftime seems pointless tan passing on messages after game when he can directly speak to riza?

I think I saw somewhere he was saying he goes back to his apartment on his own and thinks about the game, so maybe he is lonely and wants some friends to talk to. Does seem a bit creepy to get people's phone number then ring them to get them onside. Does anyone know what the conversation is about?

Maybe the man is lonely, he just lost his dad and talking to normal people about footy is his way of coping, yeh results have not gone our way but feck me some people know how to slate a man for speaking with genuine fans and also he may want to know the fans feelings direct from them, give the bloke a break ffs he is human like the rest of us. People moan that the board do not talk to the fans and when the manager does he gets slated as well.

Well said. Looks like someone struggling with the stress of losing a parent and performing a difficult job.

I’d go on to say that it shows he was probably never right for the job and should not have been appointed in the first place. Unfortunately more evidence of a poorly run football club.

That’s so true he was given the chance to manage the job and no one could blame him for taking it .Unfortunately it hasn’t worked out but it certainly not for a lack of effort .I blame the board for not appointing an experienced DOF or coach to work alongside him as I said at the time

Ask yourself this. Would Warnock, Malky, Billic, Scot Parker etc be replying on social media?
Heads fallen off.
Time to go. He needs to be focusing effort on picking up points, not likes!!

Some replies to this seem to suggest that a few people don't see the issue with this. Also appears that some agree his focus should be on changing things, as it now looks likely he'll be in charge on Saturday.
I just find it a bit weird that he decided to spend his free time messaging and ringing young fans in the middle of a relegation fight.

They're on social media if you want to see them. You can see the public conversations he's had with fans on his Instagram.
It's not my place to put other people's social media conversations on here - wouldn't expect someone to do that to me.
So there really is no need for your belittling and sarcastic comments.

Anybody can set up fake accounts on social media pretending to have fake conversations with different people, unfortunately thats the kind of world we live in today.
Its the people who think they know other that worries me.
