League One is the best thing that can happen to this club

You hear some people say that, but this is why I think it's not true.

Some will think if we go down then Tan is more likely to go - unfortunately it's the opposite. He would get peanuts for a League One club and would just continue to keep the club running on as minimal funds as possible. There would be even more cost cutting due to the decreased money being received from being outside the Championship.

That means good, hard working people at the club would lose their job. That's what happens when relegation happens, with less money coming in cuts would have to be made.

The club already have financial problems and being in the third tier would make those much, much worse.

Also, don't assume we would have a comfortable season in League One and be back in the Championship within a year.

It does happen, but does anyone really believe the board will invest anything to give the team the best chance of getting promoted back? I know I don't. We certainly wouldn't take the Birmingham approach.

The mostly likely thing is the best players would be sold to try and make back some of the money from relegation. This is the wrong approach in my view but it is the approach they'll take.

What this means is the best we could hope for is mid table mediocrity in League One and at worst, a double relegation and playing in League Two in 2026.

Getting relegated would be an absolute disaster for this club and it has to be avoided - whatever it takes.

I 100% agree with you Worcester on every point you have made. That’s why I would get Warnock back NOW just to try and keep us up. Ritza can’t now - the team/squad is all over the place. It’s a bloody disaster.

It’s a weird situation for the Cardiff fans to be in,not one true fan wants us to be relegated but in the same breath a lot of real fans want the club to go down just to prove tan ain’t got a clue,problem being is if we do go down,and gain promotion next season,it will give tan the opinion that he knows what he’s doing,when the whole fan base and every club in the uk,knows he hasn’t got a clue

I've never been a fan of riza just thought he was the wrong choice but I don't want to be relegated once you start getting a downward slide its difficult to stop where next league2 when we came up to the championship with Andy Campbell goal in Cardiff against qpr he haven't really looked back promoted twice to Premier I like the idea every season as it begins about how we are going to get to playoffs or even champions being relegated is a downwards I wouldn't want its why as a club we have to fight

How is your headline saying the best thing when its totally the opposite, relegation will kill this club we will be in the doldrums for many years to come.

Shortfall is a minimum £10m besides selling of best players and staff cuts and smaller crowds... total disaster which could last years....

It will be a disaster we have a board that don’t give a fk. We won’t be like Birmingham we will sink . The club is rotten I can’t see things getting any better. Need to move to a smaller ground that soulless bowl will be even emptier next season in League one.

If we go down all the players will be sold off.
There`s not many that we will get a fee for as most are not championship standard.
The fans will vote with their feet,lucky if we get 8000 crowds.
Lack of TV money plus lower crowds will give more financial problems.
No one will buy club, we are then stuck with TAN .Who is the main problem where we are heading.
Good chance of a second relegation .

we go down, we wouldn't get back up without serious investment. it's the worst thing that could happen.

Min 7 to 8 million loss in income from EFL, less season tickets , crowds smaller , less away fans, less merchandise sold.
There WILL be a fire sale of our best players to support that loss, unfortunately all so predictable.
