Craig Bellamy: I have spoke to Aaron Ramsey

Postby worcester_ccfc » Wed Mar 12, 2025 1:08 pm

Craig Bellamy:

"I spoke to him [Ramsey] this morning. It's a tough one for him.

"Personally, football-wise and from a selfish capacity in the Wales job, I don't really care. Him as the person is more important. I've known him since he was five.

"To watch his hard work - and it's not just this period, throughout his career - the consistency he's been able to show, the elite level he's been able to play at, the person he is. I care about that more.

"The extent of the injury we don't know. We'll find out later. But as a person, I think he tried to be a little apologetic to me. The first thought in my head was 'don't you ever apologise to me'. I couldn't be more proud of him as a person.

"His playing career has been incredible. What he's done for us as a country, club football and young people in Wales, and beyond. I'm proud to know him."

Fair play, great comments from Bellamy here.

Pity our fans don't think the same way as Bellamy, I don't think for one minute that Ramsey came here for a last pay packet, when you consider what he's been paid at Arsenal, Juventus and Nice what he's getting here is chicken feed. He hasn't had the career he's had without working hard, he hasn't just been lucky and fallen into a club that has chucked money at him, so we'll done to Bellamy who knows and appreciates the hard work needed to have a career they both had, nice to hear him being appreciated not ridiculed for the number of games he has played for us. I get sick of reading the constant criticism of we'll be lucky to see him play 6 games blah, blah, blah. Critised by people who have probably never even played parks football

His past achievements don’t negate the fact that he’s been a complete waste of money.

well said Bellers, Fans that say Ramsey is not passionate really don’t have a clue.. just because he is softly spoken doesn’t mean a thing.
He is passionate about Wales and his love for Cardiff and Arsenal.. it has not worked out this season.. and maybe it’s time for him to retire .. but how lucky are we that he is ‘one of our own’
