Ramsey

Tue Mar 11, 2025 8:52 pm

Time to let him go in the summer when it comes to playing.

Another injury tonight.

Offer him a coaching role but he can't be relied on as a player anymore.

It's sad, as he's such a legend but the time has come.

Far too unreliable now and his legs have gone

Why give him a coaching role? Doesn’t deserve it at all. Not even got his coaching badges.

He has his A license.

His injury record is beyond a joke, that’s certainly him done for the season given it looked like his hamstring again

Re: Ramsey

Said he wouldn't even last five games he didn't even make that. Stealing a living now but he played for Wales and X Cardiff some say wtf that's got to do with it I don't know well past it now. Only knowledge he's got now nothing else.

Our highest earner by far, who is stealing a living
He is a leader in the dressing room ? I don't see leadership anywhere

Re: Ramsey

I'm gutted for him he's a quality player he's come here for all the right reasons. He doesn't deserve this he's worked so hard to make it work with us .I'm gutted but nothing lasts forever does it

Re: Ramsey

And I was so excited when he signed for us, never thought that he would have so many injuries, i wouldn't even offer him a new contract on reduced wages, a coach for the u18 at best.

Do we know it's his hamstring again as everyone is assuming, because he was caught late just before half time when he played a ball forward, he was hobbling a bit after that. If it is that knock you can't blame his injury record as that can happen to anyone

you could tell it was a nasty one by his reaction, he took his arm band off and launched it at the ground in frustration he knew that was his season over sadly

That is the end for a great player.

Needs to focus on his coaching and make sure he does his apprenticeship like Bellers

He clutched his hamstring after attempting a backheel.. certainly looked like it

Time to go Ramsey. Love the guy but he doesn't offer us anything other than long trips to the medical room.

Let's be honest, he has never been a championship footballer, his ability is top 6 Premier League, his class on the ball doesn't translate into end product because the players around him are not on that wavelength.
It's been a bit of a disaster in hindsight, but i was caught in the romance of it all

His frustration was that he won’t be fit for wales I can see through it now

Needs a coaching role.. a future manager hopefully.

I'm gutted for Ramsey the way things have turned out, I honestly don't think he came here to 'steal a living' as a lot of posters are saying. I believe he genuinely wanted to come back to help his home club that gave him the platform to have a successful career, albeit dogged by injuries, but that's not his fault. I read somewhere that his horrible injury at Stoke has probably been a part of the injuries he's had. I'm no medic so I can't make a definite case for that. I hope that City give him a coaching role as he has played for some top teams under top managers so I'm sure he has picked up a lot of tips along the way.

I don't like all the negativity aimed at him on this forum people love to have a go at somebody all the time, Tan, Dalman, Choo, Riza, Purse etc yes because none of them gave a clue to running a successful football club, but please lay off Rambo I'm sure he would much rather be out on the pitch playing football than in the treatment room and watching from the stands.

Bit of respect is needed here. It hasn't worked out, that is evident, but do not forget the Ramsey that came through our club, was world class for Wales and has been around the world playing champions leagues and scoring some quality goals at the absolute highest levels.

A coaching role is a no-brainer. He's a class act that injuries have caught up with him. Future manager, hopefully!

Ramsey is one of the all time greatest of Welsh players.. any Cardiff fan that disrespects him is no fan in my opinion.

It's not disrespectful to say his time has ended.

He may have been a top quality player but look at him now, can't play football matches.

Why should we spend £25k a week on a player who is hardly ever available?

I would definitely offer him a coaching role but it would be throwing money away if we kept him as a player.

It's not about disrespect if it's true.

I'm guessing he means all of the people saying that Ramsey is stealing a living from the club & if he is I would have to agree. Just as I agree that his time has probably come to hang up his playing boots & move on to something else, with the club he obviously loves hopefully.
