" Will Alves "

Will Alves could return for Cardiff City on Tuesday night in a big boost for the Bluebirds.

Alves, who is on loan from Leicester City, has made a real impact since joining the club, putting in some lively performances packed with skill and pace.

In his last match, against Plymouth Argyle, he provided his first assist in senior football, sweeping a low cross to Yousef Salech, who turned home an early opener in the 1-1 draw at Home Park.

The 19-year-old left the pitch hobbling that day, though, having taken a knock on his leg. He was subsequently ruled out against Hull City and was also not named in the squad last Friday for the Aston Villa FA Cup clash.

However, manager Omer Riza says he could return this week, with Burnley up next on Tuesday night.

Good news Alves and Ashford offer so much more than Willock and El Ghazi both in attack and defence
