Start him up front so Salach and Robinson can have some rest - especially the latter. If not I would prefer to play him wide to give Ashford and O’Dowda a break.

He clearly enjoyed his time at Villa and their fans still love him, so that might help him put on a good performance in front of them.

Yes I’m glad he is starting. I’d like to see him alongside Sale h but it prob won’t happen.

He has played just over a third of the two games we played. Got one assist I suppose in the four goals we have scored.
Who knows?

Awful defending against Stoke I think for two goals

I think he’s been next to useless but I’m hoping he’ll come good sometime soon.

He tries but he needs to retire, nothing like the player he once was.

He's 29.

I found the Villa love in a bit strange TBH. He played roughly the same amount of games that Anthony Pilkington played for us to add a bit of context. They loaned him to Everton, then sold him at a loss.
He seems a decent lad but I don't see him playing in this country next season, it happens all a bit quick for him nowadays

I’m hoping we don’t renew his contract.

Didn’t they say he scored an important goal for them in the play off final? He also scored 11 goals one prem season and helped keep them up.
Pilkington did none of that.

Nothing to do with his age but maybe I should have said from playing in our league but he's not going to settle for league1/2. He's been out too long & he's had most of the season to get his old self back but it's just not happening for him, would have been great if he had.
