Gut feelings anyone?

Wed Feb 26, 2025 10:44 pm

Do any of you guys get gut feelings that become true.
As a senior fan of 70 :old: years i have seen many weird results watching football.
It seems that teams who don`t score for ages or keep conceding eventually get it right.
City got a clean sheet against Hull, that`s a rarity this season.
Next home is Burnley who only conceded 9 all season.
By my mad theory we will win 3-0. :bluebird:

Told my mate at the Hull game he thinks i`m mad.
He said If it don`t happen they have a room waiting for me.

I’ve a gut feeling we’ll win. Maybe not 3-0, though we could do with a pen or sending off in our favour :bluescarf:

Hope you're right, very tough game against a team with an unbelievable recent defensive record.

A draw would be a great result.

I think whenever Burnley finally do concede a goal they will ship at least 2 in that game.

Nice thought

I think we will be a bit tired and still have a lot of players missing, hopefully we can keep it tight, and counter attacking suits us so you never know.

They haven't conceded a goal in their last 12 league games so they are due. They are obviously going to have the majority of possession, they will ticki tack it all over the park and try to draw us out. I would go ultra defensive and play for the draw, try and frustrate them because they will expect to win and maybe just maybe.

I saw their game on TV vs Preston NE and Preston could have had a couple. They're not 'all that' and rode their luck a few times. It could come to an end against us. Why not?

Leeds are the standout team. I think we can pick points up against any other team, Burnley don't concede but don't score many either. I think we can get a point tomorrow.

Problem is Riza seems to play for a draw. At home we should get at teams and put them under pressure.

He’s a good lad. Loved it when he came on at Villa and shortly afterwards floored 2 of their defenders.

Agree, we’ve got to attack them as they don’t score many goals so like the Hull game one may win it!

We'll lose 0 v 1. We won't lay a glove on their defence.
