Robertson's corners

Never beat the first man - why does he keep taking them? very poor!

I don’t think any of our corner takers are particularly good. Look at how Pompey were fizzing them in against us. All were threatening. We never do that.

true! they are all poor.

After year of being spoiled by the delivery of Whitts for many years we have been brought back down to earth with our set piece takers The rare very good delivery with maybe Ralls being the best
However last season Robertson was doing well for Portsmouth at set pieces but not for us

We had Doyle for a bit who was good. But absolutely never replaced whitts. Not sure why it's so hard for pro footballers to kick a ball!

Been saying it for months his dead ball distribution is shocking. My 13 year old daughter can put a good ball in 8 times out of 10. Most of our balls into the box never finds a target.

we must have a better corner taker than him, willocks were better before Robertson came on

It's a re-occurring problem and something that was refreshing to see Rambo actually making the 6-yard box last Saturday.

It was one of Wintles few strengths for us, in my opinion. It's not just Robertson, El Ghazi, Willock have also been poor from a corner. So are alot of our opponents. Beggars belief at this level.

Really poor.

He's taken the odd good one but I don't think set pieces are his strength.

They're horrendous aren't they.

His only good delivery I can remember is Goutas' header against the Jacks.

Shame he can't do that every week.

Need to watch a highlight real of 2012-13 when we had Whits, Bellamy & Kim whipping balls in!!

I don't think they are very good because we are making them try to take a decent corner.

Remember the Whitt Slaters key slogan was "anyone can take a corner"; Well they were correct, me or you can loft it 10m in the air to drop around the penalty spot but they are so easy to defend they are almost pointless. You need to drill it in flat with whip and that takes some technique. Ralls is the only player with that (including Rambo). I'd guess Colwill can but other days he will kick it straight into touch or something equally frustrating.

But Robinson needs to be relieved of the duty. I also hate outswingers

it's pointless having a corner if he's going to just kick it to the first man (opostion) and then we have to run out and stop the attack. it's pointless

THIS

Dip, whip,
variation far/near post/D/6 yard box, corner of box
Synergy with Timing of runs
Its a historic weakness

I like the ones when we stand right near the keeper, they cause chaos we should be doing lots of them most weeks.

Whitts' two consecutive corners in the final against Liverpool, the last of which led to Ben Turner's equaliser were totally undefendable. They would be worth 10 goals a season if they could be replicated.

We were sports rotton for years with Peter Whittingham
No one has even come close to the master of dead balls

Well Robinson doesn’t take our corners but he may as well be given a chance.

You mention Ramsey but his are next to useless but why mention Colwill when you’re blind to how he would take them?
Just looking for another scapegoat.
