Big goal again tonight.

Don't think the criticism of him has been unfair though.

First half he was probably the worst player on the pitch.

As I say Wins are what counts

And Goals are what count

It’s years since we had a player scoring 12 goals for us

He can be lazy and moan

But he’s quality

Disagree.

I don't want to see a player moan at his teammates. He has purple patches of scoring but his attitude otherwise is always a concern.

Big goal but I still have worries about him.

He was in the right place at the right which is where he should be but the shot was straight at the keeper & took a wicked deflection. As long as he keeps scoring, we'll all be happy, but he deserves the stick he gets most of the time.

I agree that his goals will make a difference in us staying up.

It has been mentioned that 6 of his goals came in a short space of time just before he got his new contract.

I’ve said numerous times in respect of that, that it doesn’t make a difference when the goals were scored.

Ultimately a goal is a goal, and 12 this season are massive towards our fight for survival.

If he only touches the ball 3 times in an entire game but scores 3 goals, who cares?

It’s what he does in games he doesn’t score in is what irritates the fans which is usually not a lot .But he has goals in him which is invaluable for us so for that he stays in the team

Agree with that.

If he was virtually perfect he would not be at Cardiff City

He would be Premiership or with a club like Leeds

Its his job though, he makes no tackles/ never steals the ball or beats his man, had three good chances and buries the hardest on the one he doesn't have to think about.
He is judged on goals and assists, he is ok thats it. Your as good as your attack, we need better if we are to progess.

He only scores againt the poorer teams (check it out)

Yea it's ridiculous really the amount of criticism he gets but he's just one of those players that will always divide opinion.

Personally I don't want my striker running all over the place I want him in the box getting on the end of things.

I'll use Haaland as an example, of course he has far better players around him but his work rate and link up play is poor to say the least but he comes alive when there's a sniff of a chance.

Unfortunately some fans have made their mind up and whatever he does will never be good enough.

He is a big game player and done his job AGAIN tonight.

He’s played so long as the only man up top he seems to have forgotten how to play as a duo in attack. Last night in the 1st half there was glimpses of his toys being perched on the edge of his pram. This is how he comes across on the pitch, ready to throw his toys out when it’s not going his way.

Got his goal, right place at the right time as a striker, and seemed more settled until subbed off. This game he stayed on the bench instead of storming off down the tunnel.

After we equalised against Bristol City he was right on the edge of the technical area waving the players back to the halfway line, so as we could try and win the game.

I love his passion

It baffles me as well. If he was running around like a blue arse fly , chasing back etc he wouldn't be in the positions to score 12 goals, which is a third of our goals this season. His job at the moment is to put the ball in the back of the net and he is doing that better than anyone we have had at the club for a good few years

We are so lucky to have him at our club. People say he moans at Luther players I think you find he has high standards and expects better service from his team mates which is what you want from a leader. Has no one seen how happy he is when the others pop up with a goal always pointing to them in front of the stands going look at this kid he is class.

If only a few more in the team had his high standards and desire to win we be in a much better place.

Reading some of these comments I can’t think why a lot of the players we strongly linked to go elsewhere.

He was the match winner on Tuesday and whilst he's getting some gloss taken off his goal because it deflected, I'm convinced that most others try and pelt it and it goes over. Ultimately.... job done.

However, he's greedy. Not like a Chopra greedy, as Chopra knew when to slide in Jay/Whitts etc etc. There were a handful of times where Salech was in a better position and he went for the worldie goal, which to be fair he's slotted a few this season. I was hoping they'd team up more and link better. Only 1 game, but that would be my critique.

Simply, take his 12 goals out and we'd be fucked. A third of our total goals at the time of writing.

He seems to be in the "easy to blame" catagory. I'd love him to get to 20.

His 12 goals is 1 of the best gpm ratio in league
Also out of all our wins this season we've only won 1 when we hasn't scored for us

Good points made but I still don't like his attitude.
