Can see why Leicester loaned him out instead of using him.
Has bags of quality but his decision making at times is a bit iffy. Needs to put in better crosses.
Expect he'll go on to play in the PL but needs to learn a few things.

He's exactly as expected a raw, talented teenager. Same was said about Philogene

Could be he needs a focal point uo find like salech? Players lose focus when putting balls in box with no one on end of them..

He needs to get a few burger kings into him. Very lightweight/very weak.

I'd sooner focus on El Ghazi who was a complete passenger on that pitch today. How
des he get in that starting eleven ahead of Ashford? Yousef should also
be in that starting line up.... especially at home.

Totally agree.

I thought he did nothing wrong at all. He's small, but tenacious. I didn't see him get bullied or outmuscled, he kept the ball well and used it well to create openings.
Second half, he got switched to the right and he was able to put crosses in for Salech. We didn't have that option until Salech came on. Robinson was dropping deep and we had nobody in the box to put crosses in.
Overall, I thought it was a very promising debut from Alves. I don't understand the comments saying he has lots to learn, because I didn't see him take wrong options. He played with maturity and he used the ball well. I hope we keep starting him.

Totally agree. Think he put 2 crosses in which didn’t clear 1st defender in second half but apart from that was a big big threat to them.

His first ever 90mins in the Championship!

My two cents is that he is nippy, direct and an awkward to play against.
I don’t believe he’s best as a winger and believe he will be better as a 10, his crossing is poor.

I thought he was class today , and every other game he’s had , he’s on a different level to everyone

Well he’s better than El ghazi and Willock they are a waste of space .I think if he has a target like Salech to aim for he will have a big say in our run in

I thought we could have lobed a few balls over their full-back and allowed him to run onto them to get him into the game in the first 30 mins. We were guilty of over playing and acheiving very little

Couldn't agree more, he does everything right but the most important part! His crosses constantly didn't beat the first man, and when he should shoot he passes. But like you said it's why he's out on loan

I think the criticism of him is quite harsh, as I thought he had a very good game - yes, he didn’t clear their first player on a couple of occasions, but you can’t really criticise him for that as he had no one to aim for in the middle. Even the great Aaron Ramsey did not clear their first man on a couple of occasions, and they were from corners! Let’s encourage the young man and not point out why Leicester are not playing him. He has great talent and would love to have him permanently at Cardiff.

Well said Tonteg, he was tenacious, tricky and ambitious, he's going to be a very good player with more minutes and I look forward to it.
