MY VIEW: THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND YES WE GOT BACK IN TO I

MY VIEW: THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND YES WE GOT BACK IN TO IT AND NOW FEEL GOOD/ BUT WE NEED WINS:

90th min equaliser by Cardiff

A DIRE PERFORMANCE YET AGAIN BY RIZA / TANS MANAGEMENT:

That’s now only 3 League wins from 19 League games and that to me is relegation form NO matter how the Riza fans twist it.

I said before today you have to win games to stay up.

Positive today Salech 3 goals 5 games.

Bagan played well.

90th min:GOAL! Cardiff City 1-1 Bristol City (Salech)
Ramsey slips in a brilliant through ball for Ashford, and he pulls it back across goal for Salech, who's left with a simple tap in.

I know some will praise and yes Ramsey saved us with skill, BUT WE NEED WINS

With Cardiff only having Won 3 league games from their last 18 league games and Bristol only 2 from their last 7 league games, No team we’re currently having a good run.

FIRST-HALF :A pretty dire first half of football from both sides.

Cardiff did the early attacking, Worzels slacked it up , then for a while took over.

First 30mins quite boring, no real excitement.

Never got any better , Ref ready to book the slightest foul.

SECOND-HALF :

Cardiff started well and created three good chances.

Then Alnwick made a great save.

GOAL! Cardiff City 0-1 Bristol City (Knight) 0-1
Hirakawa's freekick is turned home by Knight.
Bristol City lead.

63mins: Ramsey on
He replaced Rinomhota.

71st min:Double change for Cardiff

Robinson and El Ghazi make way for Salech and Willock.

Bristol also making a change as Wells replaces Armstrong

Should be 2-0
Bell somehow guides his header off target from close range after a dinked cross from Roberts.

GOAL! Cardiff City 1-1 Bristol City (Salech)
Ramsey slips in a brilliant through ball for Ashford, and he pulls it back across goal for Salech, who's left with a simple tap in.

City's best move of the game is rewarded! Rambo plays in Ashford behind and Yousef adds the finishing touches to his cross.

Awful performance, apart from the final 20 minutes when we had the team that should have started on. Robinson and El Ghazi being taken off made us look like a team with some threat. Huge shout out to Bagan today thought he was superb, and only Mannsverk with a better performance.

Team selection all wrong.

Obvious to everyone that Salech should be starting.

We won’t win games with Robinson leading the line.

He plays too deep and rarely leaves the centre circle. We’re essentially playing with two ‘number 10s’.

No suprise that when Salech came on (playing on the shoulder of the last defender) we looked more dangerous and actually scored.

If not starting should have come on with rambo why string out the subs when your losing? Tome it shows lack of understanding the use of subs..... nearly all managers would have made the 3 in one go ... point not good really

Sat Feb 15, 2025 2:33 pm

ok I would say a draw was a fair result. Neither team deserved the win.

I want to mention Salach and thats not because of his goal but the actual movement he made before it. He went from in front of his man, spun around him to the back post creating the space to slid the ball home. That was the sort of quality we have been missing up front. That 2 leagues goals he has scored that have won us the points that just might keep us up.

Bristol manager made changes half time because he seen they weren’t playing well enough we started 2 nd half better but until we started putting our subs on only then we started playing better for me salech has to start thought mannsverk showed his class today

This will get us in trouble if we don’t improve and win

Agree about Salech but in defence I heard from inside that he was a long way off match fitness when he arrived.
He certainly should be up to speed now though.

Must start next game.

The team selection worried me from the start. We also missed Robertson a lot and even Chambers today too so there is some mitigation. Was it a dire performance?, no it wasn't but agree we need to win games urgently. A point today is a point gained.

Why are we so easy to score against is it me or do many of the teams we play don’t have to do a great deal to score against us. Every now and again we will concede a goal that there is nothing you can do but applaud but bloody hell
Simple crosses Men letting their player get a run on them Total lack of vision and concentration by many of our players in defending

The draw is down to one man ….. Ramsey . His pass was different class . Without this we were almost certainly going to lose …..and we could not have complained .

A draw was a fair result, we didn't deserve to win or lose that. Bristol are pretty ordinary. Ramsey may well keep us up with cameo appearances like this. Crucial to keep him fit. We missed Robertson today too.

That’s the problem we sign these players when they are actually needed NOW.

We never learn.

We have to start playing our best 11 from the start this shows inexperience by our manager

Re: MY VIEW: THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND YES WE GOT BACK IN

Sat Feb 15, 2025 4:28 pm

Looked a strong team on paper but jeez how bad was that!!!

Robbo is like a petulant child, his toys were firmly perched on the side of his pram from the pompey game and boy did it show…. Lazy!!!! He even stormed off down the tunnel when subbed off as usual and one of the coaches went after him and sent him back out.

Riza made the wrong subs today… especially with how strong the bench was… after going 1-0 down he should have gambled, Colwill was spent by the 75th. The option to go 4-4-2 diamond was there, Colwill off and Simic on with Salech…. The game was there for the taking and we didn’t, that was a painful 2 pts dropped

Mannversk is an intelligent player, watched him against pompey on tv and again certain plays today he’s way ahead of the others. We need Tan to dig in his pockets and sign the lad.

With Ralls and Robertson out we lose a decent corner taker and we suffered from it today. They need to see if the new lads can pop better ones in than the delivery we got today.

There was no urgency from the bench to get the subs stripped and ready, everything was done at a snails pace, Purse went through positioning with Cian Ashford twice …. Why FFS??

We should have kicked on from the FA Cup win but nope, we can’t keep dropping points, we’ve got a really busy period coming up and we won’t survive with draws

I see some are still praising:

Do please be honest is 17pts out of 57pts in Our last 19 League Games?

3 Wins from 19 League Games

Please be honest if you think this current form is good, then how can you believe in City ever going places under current Regime and Management?

Riza, says he is very happy with his squad and he actually said he got what he wanted and believes he can do well with it.

Well I believe this current squad is worth an 8th place , But Never under this Management.

Poor management yet again by Riza! Why start with such a defensive team selection at home, when we desperately needed a win? Salech should be on from the very start, and if anything, Robinson should be starting as a goal poacher only, feeding off him. The play out of defence is awful to watch, and very dangerous the way we do it. Alnwick worries me, but he did make a great save at his near post, when we were one down. I was very pleased with the contribution from Mannsverk, , Alves, Bagan, and particularly Ramsey (who was class!) and Salech, when they came on. Colwill, had a decent game as well, but he is extremely frustrating at times. I will take a point, but if we had been more positive from the start, we’d have taken all three points! Come on Riza, pull your finger out, as we want you to succeed!!

Totally agree annis I’ve been saying the same since Luton away that’s when I noticed his inexperience and every week it’s the same yes sometimes we get lucky and win away at Watford beat Swansea but overall it’s very poor show and our manager doesn’t pick his strongest side he keeps tinkering every week we never have a settled side time to make a change before it’s to late

Des,

His total inexperience is hurting us and he’s playing for a point every time.

I’ve noticed his tinkering is getting worse.

Said during game making 3 substitutions over a 15 minute spell shows a lack of understanding of what subs are for? You go one down you make an immediate change you make the 3 at once he was planning changes so why not all 3 instead of 1 here 1 there as he did!... he lost 15 minutes of game time that the 3 subs could have had more effect than the 1 goal scored....
all coaches make multiple changes when lose a goal like we did but not riza what manual does he read to ignore a common sense move? Anyway point not good enough but its a point more than rivals gained again!! But Cant be lucky all time so he needs to change his philosophy on playing for draws ..
