' BREAKING: TAN SACKS YET ANOTHER MANAGER '

Tue Dec 17, 2024 10:15 pm

Another one bites the dust and they are yet again like us in a relegation battle. I detect a trend.

After last season when the whole management team walked out on Vincent Tan saying they could not work for an arrogant owner.

Tan brought in a new team who just about stayed up on last game of the season.

This season with lack of investment and the fans turning they are back down their in relegation area again.

KV Kortrijk Fans have started protests and want Tan Out.

Going by recent events, wish them the best

But it's another failure for Tan.

A trend indeed, Paul…

Another one the owner didn’t get right and I feel for Freyr Alexandersson, as he comes across as a decent guy and was firmly on the list to take over from Erik Bulut before the owner realised Riza was the perfect fit for his ‘no ask/no spend’ policy… :(

Agree Chris, there won't be any significant budget in January and Riza is expected to get the best out of what we have. It's another poison chalice situation as Mark Hudson and Steve Morison found out and history has a habit of echoing itself.

If Tan doesn't do something in January then we are in very dark waters. The club should be having crisis meetings behind the scenes ensuring that we do everything we can to avoid relegation amd yet another completely wasted season.

Indeed, Tony. I found sending the young striker over there a little odd, if not convenient for some reason…

Questions need to be asked and more so deserve to be answered fully. Supporters are not stupid and know when trouble is afoot…!

Remember this:

Inside Vincent Tan's other chaotic club without a manager as senior figures leave after row with Cardiff City owner

Reports in Belgium are rife with the notion that Vincent Tan is looking to sell KV Kortrijk amid a chaotic period

May 2023

"Matthias Leterme (CEO) and Ronny Verhelst (president) left Kortrijk because of a dispute with Tan. Matthias and Ronny wanted to sell the club to Burnley, because they showed serious interest, but Tan is hoping to hit the jackpot with the Kaminski Group now.

"Matthias and Verhelst were afraid that Kaminski are not serious, because they are new in the football business and it would not be good for Kortrijk if Kaminski took over. They thought Burnley would be better, because young players would come to KVK, but Burnley did not make a bid, it was only serious interest. Burnley talked with Tan but he wanted too much money for KVK, so the Clarets decided to invest in their squad for next season instead."

Q. Would you consider his reign at KVK to be a success?

"No, not a success. Everyone expected more from Tan. Kortrijk wanted a new stadium and become a top-10 club in Belgium and not fighting against relegation. The fans expected better players, young players to sell to big teams and better results.

The reports are that the car salesman is over seeing the new manager appointment, you really couldn't make this up if you tried.

Hahaha I’d actually respect that.

Just shows that if you keep doing the same crazy stuff and take no advice you get the same exact results.

When will the penny finally drop for Tan?

He’s not able to run a football club. He’s not wanted anywhere.

He is a common denominator for 2 under performing clubs that fly through managers.

According to Wales Online they have already appointed a guy who has managed them twice before, but it took over 70 days for Bulut to be officially replaced here. Shows what Tan thinks of us. Is he trying to show he can get one club right.
