Omer Riza:

“After the game [against QPR] I went into the coaches’ room, spoke with them, and said we now turn our focus to the Coventry game,” Omer explained. “We don’t forget about the QPR game, but the matches come thick and fast and there’s no point pondering [on Wednesday].

“We’ve looked back at it and what we need to work on. I’m now focussed on who may be playing against Coventry, who may need a rest and who perhaps can be impactful in that game.”

Coventry currently sit 17th in the Championship, a point above the Bluebirds and without a win in four following Tuesday’s midweek defeat to Burnley.

“I don’t buy in to it when I hear that a team is ‘struggling’; they are a team that have constantly been in or around the Play-Offs [in recent seasons], but they are still a good side with good players,” Omer contested.

“They haven’t picked up the points that they should have done but it’s going to be a tough game. We’re fighting, so every game is a tough game and we have to win; we’re not at the moment and that’s where we’re currently falling short.

“We have to approach with caution away from home, but without taking away our attacking threat.”

He had a choicr aginst QPR to play reindorf or stick with meite with his goal scoring record of f.ck all and a young lad doing well with the reserves and playing against his old club who are bottom and with a point to prove and he bottled it,
And thats why i am done with riza after that.

He hasn’t got a clue. I saw Reindorf make more runs up and down the wing warming up than most of our players on the pitch actually made.

Why does he keep bring Meite on!

The attacking play he was promising is long gone.

There's a bit of an obsession with fans wanting Reindorf at the moment. Admittedly Meite and Kanga are hopeless but pinning our hopes on an largely untested 19 year old whose scored some goals in the U23 is also a bit desperate. Don't get me wrong I'd like to see him have a go for 20 minutes but there is huge difference between U23 and Championship football and criticism of Riza for not using him is harsh in my view.

I want reidorf simply to be given a chance not obssesed
We have tried meite all last season snd this he is yet to hit the back of the net this season,
kanga looks stoned on the pitch standing and watching what's going on we have no other option to try him and he looks ok in reserves but for f.ck sake give him a go from the off,
if he looks like a rabbit in the headlights hook him at half time.

I would disagree that anyone is pinning their hopes on an u23 player BUT people want to see him get some minutes, just like you say you do. If he's shit then he's shit or if he's not ready for the step up then so be it, but there is no way on planet earth that he can be any worse than Kanga and that is why people want to see him be given a chance to show what he can or maybe cannot do. The criticism of Riza comes from him being on the bench the whole game, why not just throw him on for Robinson? It's not like he could have done less than him on Wednesday night.

Haven’t posted a reply in a good while, but after going to that QPR game, I’m done with Riza, did well to start with, and had us scoring first in most of our matches, but recently, has taken a u-turn, one thing that really bothered me with the QPR game is with us behind, he made the decision to only make 3 subs out of a possible 5? 1-0 down, chasing a game, a young striker on the bench who could make an impact, but you choose not to use him, not because you don’t have the subs available, but purely out of not wanting to use him, decision I can’t get my head around, tactical disasterclass
