Would you be happy if ...

Wed Nov 27, 2024 9:52 pm

We went down?
Tan sold up?
We could start afresh in Div 1?
We got some of our old fanbase back? (Those who said they'd not come back until Tan left)
We had a proper plan from the youth up? (say for the next 5 years)

I would. I'm sick to the back teeth of the sh#t we have to puut up with at the moment.

Is there any way the DICKtator could be forced out of our club?

May well be not a case of “ if “

If we go down, then we'd go into financial meltdown. We're operating at a loss, with a signifinicant drop in cashflow in L1.

Absolutely not.

I want to get rid of Tan but going down to League One would be a disaster - look at Bolton. They probably thought they'd be down there for a year and come back stronger, it hasn't happened. Same goes for Charlton.

League One is not the answer to any question.

Besides, Tan will just keep us surviving as a club in League One and won't sell us because he won't get his money.

We simply have to find a way of staying up.

Totally agree , it’s not an option , need to find another way without going into a meltdown

For me it's not about the league we are playing in (I hated our first season in the prem) it's about the match day experience, meeting friends, having a pint and discussing tactics. It's about supporting and encouraging the players win, lose or draw.

Tan has sucked that out of the fans, so yes I'd be ecstatic if that happened.

No, categorically no.

The rot won’t end if we go down. It’ll spell the start of even worse troubles.

Tan believes we are worth 200m and that won’t change.

He will put even less money in, scape the barrel on even more signings and ultimately we will be down there or worse for a long time.

We must stay up.

I made the OP in a fit of frustration over last night's result, mainly because I'm fed up of the board making the same mistakes over and over again - resulting in the sh#t football and sh#t experience. It's fkn depressing and I'm sure most city fans feel the same.

We're a hardy bunch and have been let down in the same way by the bunch of clowns at the top for too long - FALSE PROMISES.

There were some great points in the responses.
Mike076 Spot on about the matchday experience. A whole new discussion but has been talked about a lot on here already. But yes, Tan and his cronies have ruined it.
Worcester - I agree about not going down to Div 1. Likely to be a financial meltdown. I think it would likely be worse (under Tan) and difficult to get out. More bigger clubs have struggled (Ipswich, Pompey, Bolton, Sunderland, Charlton) to name but a few.
Roath - similar to Worcester and agreed.

There is definitely a feeling of inevitability about Tan. I.e. that he's stubborn, won't let go, doesn't care, etc and that we can't do anything about it.

I kind of feel that way but I hope with a passion that he CAN be forced out. I don't have the answer but I know it would bring a new lease of life our faltering, bumbling and sadly embarassing club.

Let's all hope for the good times to return.
