A superb goal and late winner for Cheltenham by the youngster last night
Yet another MOM performance as well

Will prove in time to be a good decision to send him out on loan, playing regularly will benefit the player and the club in the long term, experience he ll gain playing week in week out will be massive, rather than sitting on the bench and grabbing the odd few minutes

At the age of 20 and Joel’s Quality, should have gone to League1.
Let’s hope that thanks to him being so good he is the first player to come back and make it in 15yrs who has been sent out to this lower division.

From what we hear he has immense quality and potential which is brilliant. He seems to be doing well at Cheltenham which is also great but he’s been in and out of the team, not like he’s their main man starting every week. A good loan and first team game league 2 at 20 will do him the world of good. Massive step up for under 21s football anyway. Hope we have a real player on our hands here. Signs are certainly encouraging

The question is, is Joel better than this current shite on the pitch? Surely he can't be any worse.
In last weeks Joel Colwill thread, I said leave him there.... now I think recall and blood him in this written off season.

Keep him at Cheltenham for the season and evaluate in summer if he can step up to championship. Showing great potential

Yes he’s far better than many of them.

Hopefully he’s the first player to make it after 15 yrs of failures
I would bring him back or send him to League 1

I was at Cheltenham and he was the best player on the pitch. He was always looking for the ball and was the difference between the teams, with him picking the ball up just over halfway before running towards the edge of the box before scoring. The experience is doing him good!

We need more players like Colwil now

I agree, but I'm not sure he would be ready for the Championship and he plays in the same position as his brother for Cheltenham?

Send him then to a League 1 Club in January, way higher standard

We need to be offering him out now. The gas would be good all round as we can easily keep an eye on him, no pressure of relegation and a late push could get them close to playoffs. They should bite our hand off if we believe he is a starter for us (assuming we are championship

) next season

Good shout!

His average rating this season in League Two is around 7.0.
Clearly doing well in a struggling team but don't think he'd be quite ready for the Championship yet.
Recall him in January, send him to a League One club and then look at things again in the summer.
