Sadly the family stand will be pretty much empty and I wouldn’t hold out much hope for the rest of the ground. 18:45 KO is late enough for me on the weekend personally.

Tuesday night games people will have family or work commitments, if we can only get 20k for a Saturday game then why would we get a large amount more for a midweek?

Unfortunately, we aren’t as big a club as some people like to think - too many plastics in South Wales.

Agreed. Message from an old colleague Saturday morning who watched us in the Prem. Took his kid to Old Trafford instead Saturday. Blows my mind

Disagree on your (quote) “aren’t as big a club as some people like to think” comment; we have the potential, we have the fan-base, and we have been there to prove the point…

Sadly, the downturn in fortunes since our last sojourn into the Premier League coupled with the pandemic, the need to adjust to crazy FFP (or Profit and Sustainability) rules, plus a succession of poor managers, has dampened the enthusiasm of all but the most hardy of supporters…

As a long-standing ‘through thick and mainly thin’ supporter, I understand the dynamics of form affecting attendance and I am confident crowds will return with an upturn of performance and results…

Modernly, entertainment and results go hand-in-hand or people in all genres simply won’t turn up… :ayatollah:

Agree - one swan (excuse unintended Vermin pun) doesn't make a summer.

We'll need a few good results (with no defeats) on the bounce to get an uptick in attendances. Like alluded to above, a series of unfortunate events (underwhelming managerial appointments, dire football, relegation battles) have seriously dampened the enthusiasm of potential walk up crowds, who were already reluctant, MOTD armchair types I suspect.

Pompey are bringing a few but I'd expect no more than 18k crowd tomorrow.

We just need to get vocal and back the boys.

Yes I predict 18k on paper but probably 16 to 17 actual attendance. Fans struggle midweek myself included its getting up at 4am for work next day that kills me when I don't get in until 12ish
