Dai Hunt

Sat Oct 19, 2024 4:30 pm

Was in a different place in Canton today.

Had the one and only Dai Hunt two rows behind me.

My right ear is still hurting, an experience I won't forget.

I really hope for your sake that’s not his new seat for the season

If you remember when the new stadium was opening, season ticket holders were given the opportunity to choose which seats they wanted in the new ground.

Before choosing, my mate and I asked the lady from the club who was showing us the choices if she could tell us where Dai was sitting so we could make sure that we were well away from him.

She laughed and said she'd been asked the same question on many occasions by fans who wanted to avoid the City legend.

Nothing against Dai, love his passion, but was a little too intense for me today.

Someone had an argument with him in the first half, I managed to bite my tongue.

Thankfully where I was today was a one off!

Feel for the STHs who have a season next to him.

I remember when I was young, my Dad was stuck next to him on the bus on an away trip.

There should be a discount on STs for a10 seat radius around him.

Going by a few stories put on here I’m not so sure about that.

You need to do your research, as you’re well wide of the mark; just ask Cardiff City FC staffs, his former employers and co-workers…!

I saw a recent photo of him in his massive scarf and he's sewn all the badges on upside down.

There was a gang of us in the Ninian pub pre-match. In walks Dai with a smile on his face. Some guy with his family got up, grabbed Dais wolloy hay and threw it across the bat. Dai immediately threw a punch at this guy but stopped it millimentres from his face.

The guy went made at Dai but what did he expect. Dai threatened to knock him into next week. I stepped in between the 2 of them and said there are kids present. Dai walked out of the pub.

Dai was waiting for me to walk out and when I did he apologised. Although a charasmatic character I don't think he is any different to all us half decent people. As for the guy with his family what an idiot.

I always found Dai a lovable harmless character over the years, couldnt fault his passion, but never wanted him to be near me during the game!

My view of him completely changed one day at CCS club shop during the rebrand to red. He was completely out of order and inappropriate, mouthing off quite aggressively to the staff about Tan changing the colours, some of whom were young girls. As he was asked to pipe down or leave, he went all foul mouthed and quite personal towards the female staff. I was really shocked. It also looked liked it wasn't the first time judging by staff reactions.

Explains the bans he keeps getting. I've not seen him like that but it does seem the club have a high tolerance for him.
