Early 90's when he was managed of Bristol Rovers they were doing really badly on the pitch.

He came back to management as he had lost all his money on shares apparently

City were at Yate for a reserve game withBristol Rovers Pissing down with rain cold Night.

Malcolm was there on his Tod watching the match I thought then Poor sod he looked all old and knackered!

RIP a Proper Character from the old skool.

Also Remember Crystal palace 1976 when he said we had no support and 35,000 Turned up !!

i remember the away game that year we were on the big open bank behind the goal
i still think that was the largest away following i saw at a city away game.
remember the week leading up to the game that malcolm allison was pictured in the bath in the palace changing room with porn star fiona richmond

He suffered with dementia and was in the same care home as my uncle in Manchester.

Last time I visited my uncle, Big Mal's family were next to us visiting him.

It was just after England's World Cup game with Algeria and I wondered what he would have made of their performance - his condition was too far advanced to have a conversation with him. I could guess mind!

Despite his condition, he was still a big man with a big presence and always ready with a smile. I introduced him to my young daughter - it didn't mean much to either of them but it meant a lot to me.

He was a forward-thinking coach probably ahead of his time but was also a complex character and will be missed.

RIP Big Mal
