TG is in the Country and has flown into London on business but I am told that TG will not attend this weekends game. Vincent Tan is taking a more hands on role and is becoming more involved with each visit. Whether it is only Tan or both, I think we must welcome them again by singing their names and calling for them to ' Do the'
Tan has instructed 2 Malaysian female accountants to look over City's books and report back to him, on his last visit he also told all City staff that they must report to him. VT is taking a leading role and this only has to be good news for us City fans, the man wants to be involved and is getting in amongst it and seeing for his own eyes how the club is run.
VT is looking at every detail of the club and wants to know where every penny is going.
Peter Ridsdale is due his final payment by the end of tomorrow and as of 3pm this afternoon he had not received his settlement but I am told that " it is the Malaysian way to pay only when due ", I hope he gets the £450k that was agreed because there are some hefty default clauses attached to the agreement if it is not settled on or before the 15th October 2010.
Ticket sales for the upcoming games are as follows :
Bristol City 21,000 sold which includes 550 from Bristol, to be honest I find it disappointing and the club were hopeful for 23,000 +
Coventry away has so far sold 662 tickets, hopefully that figure will swell to close on 1000 with a good win Saturday.
Leeds has so far sold 635, considering it is a Monday night live on Sky, I think that is a decent turn out and hopefully will get to the 700-800 that has been predicted.
Chopra is fit for Saturday and raring to go. Riggott is doubtful for Saturday but is hopeful that he can make Tuesday against Coventry. Danny Drinkwater is a concern and the medical staff are reluctant to give him a target date for a return. Paul Quinn has picked up a knock in training and is struggling for Saturday's game.
Bellamy is fit for Saturday and I believe he will play on Saturday and be rested on Tuesday, which should allow Craig enough time to recover for the trip to Leeds.
The squad and management are confident they can put Bristol City to the sword on Saturday and get a convincing win, the mood in the camp is buoyant but very focused on the task ahead. Jay Bothroyd has been spoken too about his discipline and the needless bookings he has picked up, Jay is only 2 bookings away from a ban and there is still 36 games to go in the season.
On a pesonnal note I feel that the next batch of 5 games are very important to the squad but more so to one player in particular, Jason Koumas. Once we have played the Jacks we will be a third of the way through the season and if JK has not forced his way into the team by then, I believe that the rest of the season could be difficult for him. I understand that he has not played much football in the last 12 months or so but recently we have had injuries to key players and that should have been the time to make your way into the side and take your opportunity but unfortunately he has not been able to step up.
I am not being critical of JK but honestly feel that this season could be the beginning of the end for him if cannot get on top of his game soon, I am a huge fan of JK and want to see him ghosting past players like days gone by so hopefully he can recapture the form we all know he is capable of, before it is too late.

An interesting post, but why emphasise female, 2 accountants would have done![]()
Or maybe you should have gone forcarlccfc wrote:Malaysian male Tan has instructed 2 Malaysian female accountants to look over City's books and report back to him
Only joking, but the fact they are female is irrelevant!
