Sam's Original Ambassadors

A few years ago sam Hammam introduced the original Ambassadors Club in order to raise cash during a financial crisis possibly more serious than the one recently witnessed. In return, members (of which there were only a couple of thousand)were given certain privelges that included priority tickets for away games and home cup games, shop discounts and, of course, an obligatory members badge (probably worth a couple of bob on eBay nowadays!! )

Were you an original member?? If so, do you think that you have been 'forgotten' by the club for putting yourselves out at a time when your club needed you the most?? Do you think the current Ambassador scheme is a bit of a gimmick, given the numbers of people included?? I know I do....

Nope, not at all. Same privileges as before except I now also have a season ticket price guarantee over the next 5 years too.
(best gimmick so far by a country mile)

Yea I was one.....

I used to like it back in the early 90's when there was sliding scale of ticket pric.

I think it was 6 quid if we were in the top 3 , 5 quid in the play offs, and i think they would drag you in off the street if we were any other position.

yes, whatever position in the league we were, the price reflected

Not really you could pay a couple of grand and go at the top of the main stand, not many fans in that scheme and they get privledges over ambassidors.
