This was at Old Trafford five years ago yesterday, I'm in there somewhere and it was a superb day as won 2-0 even if we did go down.
Our fans were just brilliant, as didn't stop and it was a party for 90 mins, a friend whose a Man U fan was also there and said how good our fans were, the best they had seen all season.
Let's hope we have a bit of good news on EB & budget this week so we have something to cheer a about again next season.

That’s what our club is all about, made me emotional watching that. Forget the off field bullshit and let’s get behind the team.

Paul,
That was a great night and for me very special to see us win at Old Trafford, I had been waiting since the 70’s to beat them at their place.
Our fans were amazing .
Night games can be the best.

My friend still talks about it as they can't generate an atmosphere there, which is a problem and does affect team performance which is why Artete took measures at a board level to address it at the Emirates.
The other one that also stood out was Hull a few seasons back. Our support was bouncing that day and I posted up a fan video from a Hull fans POV filming us, he said "Fookin ell, that's proper support that".

Felt very proud that day.

Mendez-Lang ran the show that day. Was that the summer he left us?

That was an amazing day.

If no one has read warnocks book "my kind of club" it mentions the day in detail a good read if not read.

We should never have got rid of Warnock. The most united the club has been under the Dictator.

This was a great day and we would have stayed up if it wasn’t for the Chelsea debacle, but I disagree that it was wrong for Warnock to go.
There have been question marks around Warnock. I have been saying it for years when some said I had an agenda against him, now others are seeing I was right.
Also he completely wasted the money we had to spend that summer after we were relegated.
He also didn’t get the team playing well in the Championship the following season, whereas Neil Harris came in and actually improved us for a bit.
I don’t think we would have been in the top six with Warnock that season.

A brilliant day all round. Our fans were superb.
I was talking to a United fan in an M6 services on the way home (no surprise there

) and said our fans were great and said we deserved to win.
Also Gunnarson's last game for us. We miss him in the team.
If I remember correctly Mason Greenwood played and tore our defence a new one but missed about 5 good chances.

It's a great book Monty. Read his other ones too if you haven't, they are excellent, he signed all of mine, "Be Lucky".

Maybe a bit of his magic had been lost but he’s still out best ever manager in my eyes.

I think it was Greenwood's full debut if I remember correctly.
United had loads of chances and we rode our luck a bit but it was a special day for sure.
Never a penalty for the tackle on Mendez but we were certainly due some luck that season.
I think they mad a mistake keeping us in the ground whilst the United players did their lap of "honour" after the game as poor old Ole got it right in the neck with "You're getting sacked in the morning" from the City fans.

I thought we played great that day and played with a sense of freedom as the pressure was off. In particular Mendez Lang and Josh Murphy worried them all afternoon and Etheridge was calm and dominant in goal.
I have two memories of that afternoon that will live with me for a long time
The first was looking at the scoreboard which said UTD 0 CARDIFF 2
The other was managing to catch the attention of my next door neighbour in the front row of the seats in the corner above us. A Man Utd season ticket holder- not a plastic red- who to be fair goes to every home game and most of the away. Head in hands in disbelief. I revelled in that for months afterwards!!
