Banned Premier League footballer takes voluntary pay cut

FA statement reveal that Sandro Tonali has voluntarily taken a reduced weekly income from Newcastle during the period of the Italian FA sporting sanction.

He was banned for 10 months in October for gambling on football.

He also received a suspended three month ban from the English FA today for similar offences.

He will be back to action at the end of August, training on regular basis to be at best level for next season.
