“ EROL BULUT TODAY UPDATES CARDIFF CITY FANS BEFORE THE LAST GAME OF THE SEASON “ :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Will it be Erol Buluts last City game?

BREAKING:

Erol Bulot:

"The first talks were positive, this I can deliver to you," he said. "I think we have to look forward about duration, that I need something in front (of me) so that we can go on. I have tried to discuss this with Vincent (Tan) and Mehmet (Dalman). But the first talks last week were positive."

Rotherham Away Saturday 12:30pm :bluebird:

EROL BULUT:

“For the last game against Rotherham, still we have half the team are not with us because of injury,” Erol began. “Callum O’Dowda will be with us, it looks like this, but he will not be available from the starting XI.

“We will try to use him, but I don’t want to use players that just came back from injuries to have a problem again. In pre-season, everybody has to be fully fit and be back. We cannot take risks that Cardiff City have injured players.”

Erol Bulut:

"From my side there are no issues, I would like to stay," he added. "Because we have built something here. We have a start.

"I can also say that I have been a guest here for one year, now I want to be part of the family. I don't want to be a guest again for one more year, I want to be part of the family for the future. If we can handle this, with good plans for the future for Cardiff City Football Club, I will be in."

On the subject of length of any proposed deal, Bulut said: "This is the first step to build something together. This is the correct direction and how the club is thinking.“

"To have a different manager or just a one-year contract, the players are also adapting differently, so you have to give a signal to the players, to the club, that this is our way and everyone has to adapt to this.“

:bluebird: :bluebird: “ READ ALL EROL BULUTS UPDATES BELOW “ :bluebird: :bluebird:

"The first step has to be the signing of new players," he said. "Of course for this, budget is important. When we want to go to the next level, we have to focus on this and go in that direction. Not only me, everyone at the club.“

Bulut said the talks centred around ironing out some "details", which included the length of his contract. In his words, he doesn't want to feel like a "guest" for another season, but "part of the family"

Re: EROL BULUT:

Erol Bulut:

"When you have only a one-year contract you can't make long-term plans. When you have a three-year contract, you can make long-term plans. It depends on the target. Our target is clear, I don't need to hide anything. You know where we want to go.

"I cannot be happy to say three years after that we want to stay in the league. We would be lying to each other. This can't be the target of Cardiff City and not of Erol Bulut as manager."

The manager doesn't expect the situation to be wrapped up by this weekend. It will go into next week at the earliest, because a lot must be nailed down before a deal can be struck. However the fact these finer details are being discussed should certainly be cause for optimism among the many Bluebirds fans who want Bulut at the club when the next league season kicks off in August.

Bulut also revealed that it was not just about the duration of his contract, but also expanding his coaching staff and bolstering the recruitment department at the club.

Re: EROL BULUT:

Thu May 02, 2024 3:45 am

When a question was put to Bulut about his future, Dalman intercepted it by saying: "Why don't you let me have dinner with him tonight?"

Dalman was virtually stopping Bulut speak.

Clearly, a decision on the manager's future is imminent. Even at 4-0 down, those in the Canton Stand were heard singing "Erol Bulut, we want you to stay" despite a chastening afternoon on the pitch.

When Bulut did eventually answer, he said: "It's up to the board. The chairman is here as you can all see (in press room) and he gave the answer before. We hope it's positive from both sides."

Erol Bulut:

"The last game at home, we wanted to win in front of the fans, it didn't happen. If we see the whole season, until now, I am personally satisfied with the season," he said.

"I think our fans and our board are satisfied with where we are now.”

“I want to stay that’s all I can say.”

We have one more game left against Rotherham. We could have had a few points more but we have built really good and progressed as a club this season. Cardiff can only build on it."

"I think I put a bit of the winning mentality into the club and into the team, because it was lost here for the last years. I am expecting everyone to have that winning mentality. Not just the player on the field, the secretary here has to think like this. If we can manage to have that winning mentality then we are two steps ahead of some other clubs and towards the level where we want to be.”

“At the end of the season, it is not easy to get the same performances that you had five weeks before,” Erol added. “You can see it for the top clubs, who are trying to get directly promoted, you can see how many points that have been dropped in the last few weeks. That is pressure.

“Sometimes, pressure is good, but when you are too relaxed, it is also not good. For us, Southampton was great, we gave everything. We had less players and many injuries.

“Against Middlesbrough, our injury list was much higher. We did not have enough players. We were with the youngsters, but as I said, that’s not an excuse to lose the game 4-1.

“If we could manage it with the chance that David Turnbull had and the great save from the goalkeeper, maybe the result would be directly the opposite way. It was a small detail, but this is football.”

Can’t really argue with anything he’s said there.

He wants a two year contract which is fair and wants funds to build a top six team.

Hopefully the club will agree to this, it’s not asking a lot.

Re: BREAKING EROL BULUT: “ THURSDAY 2ND MAY 2024 “

Erol Bulut:

"When I saw Rubin in pre-season, how he was on the field and where he is right now, I think there's a big step. A big, big step," Bulut said of the Cardiff academy product

"Now he's the target of many Premier League clubs. I didn't say that we would let him leave! I just said he was a target of many Premier League clubs.

"It doesn't surprise me because I knew at the start of the season that he can be much better. He worked hard on it, he listened to us and I still believe he can do much more.

"He is running everywhere, he wants to make everything happen. Sometimes you have to handle that better and he will then look much, much better and he will be at that level and then we cannot hold him to be here."

"I think he will not be with us (at Rotherham)," Bulut said. "He was training yesterday individually but I don't want to risk him for one game. He has a hamstring problem so I don't want to use him for 45 minutes and then he gets injured. If somebody is at risk, they will not be with us."

Fully accept as fans we all see things differently and that Bulut seems a decent enough fella, but I like many around me have serious concerns about his style of play or coaching ability. Never known a City side to not press as much as we do, fight as little as we do, be as narrow, play tippy tappy sideways and backwards shit, not cross the ball and even when we do, no bugger is ever in the box to get on the end of it.
Our league position is higher this year simply because we have better players. Nothing more than that. I’m tired of driving 350 miles to see us play at home like the away side. Yes we’ve had injuries but so has everyone else.
I’d like to think Bulut can maybe be more attacking minded, especially with a couple of additions, but I doubt it. Our ‘faults’ are coached into players rather than of their own fruition. Personally would rather Cooper or Bellers who have league experience.
Whoever we do have I’ll be there. :bluebird:

Re: BREAKING EROL BULUT: “ THURSDAY 2ND MAY 2024 “

I am not a fan of his football but I appreciate the squad has no X-factor except Rubin which is why people like me go OTT on him as I haven't seen a player try anything like him since Tomlin. Rambo when fit is a machine and a cut above, but if and its a big if,fit.

I fully understand, i'd want my family here as well. If you believe in him it has to be a three year deal with lot of caveats.

We can release you if we are in the bottom 6 at the end of the season in season 1 and bottom half season 2 etc and from his point a view a release clause of £xx million if a premier league,Bundesliga, Serie A or Fenebache want him.

We do need stability and a plan, the football is shocking but i doubt it will be that bad again

Most wins outside of top 6, transfer embargo and no funds, an uncertain future, missed out on his transfer targets due to lack of ambition from the board, and still we finish where we are.

Two sides and views, neither right or wrong.
