anyone goin to swiss with easyjet check before travellin ,cancellations/delays well poss,due to strike french air space,great we are out of gatwick tues morning with easyjet,anyone else received this email?

We have been notified by the French Authorities that there will be Air Traffic Controller strike in France on 12th October 2010.

This issue affects all airlines and at this time your flight is not affected, however as 60% of our flights touch French Air Space we anticipate that there may be a level of disruption, this could result in some delays or cancellations of some of our flights.

We would therefore strongly recommend that you visit easyjet.com and click on the Latest Travel Information button to check the status of your flight prior to leaving for the airport.

We are working hard with the French Government to minimise the potential impact that this industrial action will have on your journey and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

A general strike affecting aviation workers has been confirmed in France on 12th October 2010.

We are working closely with the French Government to try to minimise the impact to our customers, unfortunately however we will have to cancel a number of our flights and have been advised that there is a high risk of additional disruption during the day. As soon as we know which flights are directly affected we will contact those customers affected.

We recognise that this creates a level of uncertainty and in order to assist you we have decided to offer the ability for .any person booked to travel to / from France on 12th October the opportunity to change their flight date to an alternative one within 5 days free of charge If you wish to do this then please see below for details on how to rebook your flight.

If you still wish to travel on October 12th then we would strongly advise checking the status of your flight before leaving for the airport. We would also recommend where possible to check-in online and only travel with hand baggage.

While the circumstances are outside of our control and are affecting all airlines, we do apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused and reassure customers that we are doing everything possible to minimise the disruption.

Spoke to Annis earlier and as you fly out on Monday it should not affect you guys (hopefully not) gotta just wait and see.

I will be keeping a close eye on the situation and will keep all updated as and when I see any changes
