I think you will find from the Taylor Report on the 15th April 1989 pointed a fair percentage of the blame on South Yorkshire Police which has also lead to the introduction of all seater stadia and and the much debated subject of reduced atmospheres at new stadiums today.

but the liverpool fans have got to hold their hands up aswell
if they wer'nt trying to force their way in the gates wouldn't have been opened
lfc fans were well know for jibing in ground for nothing

You want to take the "brains bit out your username fella, that's just a stupid response.
I know everyone respects each other's opinions on this board - but I can't respect this. It's lies.
If you've ever followed City in South yorkshire you'll know that SYP are a f*cking poor police force at best when it comes to managing football crowds and volatile situations.
Shame on you.

That said, we're all Wednesday, aren't we?

I suppose you being a worldly wise 20 year old student in Sheffield you think you have cornered the market in "brains" well for your information I lived in Sheffield and Doncaster for many years before moving to Cardiff. So I am more than aware of how SYPD perform and I have my fair share of run ins with Wednesday fans. Yet I still have several friends who are Wednesday fans and also the best man at my wedding was also a Wednesday fan. My comments were a wind up of a Wednesday fan. When you have grown up a little more and have a modicum of life experience you may know what a wind up is.

By the way "Sheffield Wednesday is a Bank Holiday"
