When Terry Yorath was in charge v Romania, Paul Bodin missed the penalty, in the Arms Park, COST US THE WORLD CUP IN AMERICA, HEART BREAKING.

Russia for a place at Euro 2004. We'd done the hard work by getting a 0-0 out there

With the Romania game in 1993 I don't know why but the atmosphere just made me feel like we weren't going to do it and Romania's side was so good with the Radicioiu, Dumitrescu, Hagi, Petrescu era that I felt we were against the odds.

However, with Russia we'd done the tricky bit and the nation was on such a buzz I could only see a win... until Hughes decided to go 4-5-1... and then stuck Earnie out wide!

The England defeat at home recently was also gutting because of the lack of commitment and energy we displayed.

Scottish game at Anfield.

The name Jordan always irritates me to this day. One of the first games I had been to for years later was the Bristol Rovers FA cup game when his nephew played for us. He scored an OG for the Gazzlers to take the lead. I did not know at the time he was Joe Jordans nephew but when I found out I was sick. I was convinced it was a conspiracy.

Ironic, I was 9 for the Russia game and that one was really crap, just didn't seem like scoring

Quite a few over the years where we have missed out at the final hurdle, I remember the lights going out at the Vetch during a qualifier, think it was against the Czeck's, around 1981 time. Also the Yugoslavia game at Ninian park, 14/12/83, Scotland, 10/09/85, & who would ever forget the Romania game at the Arms park in 93?

Agree with that one. Don't blame the boy Bodin at all; it was just unfortunate....but bloody frustrating indeed.

Romania a truly truly afwul night that was. With the result and the death of a fan afterwards
I was 13 back then and it still bugs me that Bodin missed the spotkick, the funny thing is He scored from the spot for Swindon against Spurs the following Saturday :(

USA 94' was fantastic but if we got there I'm sure it would have been a hell of a lot better

Even though it didnt have that much riding on it (I dont think) it was the Slovakia one, was it 6-3 or something like that.

Richard Duffy was at fullback and ive never seen a professional footballer destroyed so much in my life. He made Naylor in our last 3 games look like Maldini. That game got me so angry.

Also the Russia one for obvious reasons

Without doubt it has to be Wales V Scotland the night Jock Stein Died. We needed to win but the Jocks got the equaliser with another dodgy penalty. I was devastated
