A forum for all things Cardiff City

Our awful performance on Friday got me thinking of other poor results for us on bank holidays in the past.
The one that sticks in my mind is when we lost 3-0 at home to a poor Middlesbrough team in May bank holiday 2011.
Later that day, Norwich won to make sure we didn’t get top two.
We went into the play-offs, lost 3-0 at home to Reading in the semi finals and Swansea won the play-off final against them.
That was Dave Jones’ last season and the team we had that year should have got top two.

Our Boxing Day record over the past decade has bee pretty awful too. Cant remember the last time we won. The 0 v 5 mauling at home to Maidstone was that a bank holiday?
